so who do you see as 'most complete driver' which means wheel-wheel racing skill: /10 driving intelligence: /10 team feedback: /10 all out speed: /10 tactical know-how: /10 development: /10 mechanical durability /10 Try and be objective (I know thats gonna be hard)
wheel-wheel racing skill: 8/10 driving intelligence: 7/10 team feedback: 7/10 all out speed: 8/10 tactical know-how: 7/10 development: 7/10 So basically I would give him (Alonso) about 7/8 out of 10.. mechanical durability 7/10
I'm not going to try and give marks out of 10, but imo it's Button. At the moment his driving is superb and unlike other candidates (Alonso, Hamilton, Vettel) he keeps his head almost all the time.
Lewis Hamilton by 100 miles wheel-wheel racing skill: 10/10 driving intelligence: 10/10 team feedback: 8/10 all out speed: 10/10 tactical know-how: 7/10 development: 9/10 mechanical durability 9/10 Without a doubt he is the fastest out there.
He may be fast, but his team feedback is rubbish... you have to admit he moans more than he gives positive feedback.
Well feedback is about getting your setup right... and he seems to do that quicker than Jenson, and he did it quicker than Heikki ever did. So he's up there with Fernando here, and his 'ole 6 tenths.
Infact, hows this to clear things up. Wheel-wheel racing skill: Hamilton > he is by far the best over-taker on the grid today. Driving intelligence:Button> He is supreme when it comes to making the right decision. Team feedback: Schumacher> Well who can beat him when it comes to feedback? All out speed: Hamilton> Can set fabulous pole laps out of nothing. Tactical know-how: Vettel-Schumacher-Alonso> Seen all races pan out for these drivers when the strategy has been right. Development: Schumacher> Again, who can fault this guys intelligence in developing a team and it's car?.. Mechanical durability: Webber-Kubica> They could be told to race in the harshest of conditions and be told to race in Somalia, they would still come back with a trophy.
I must disagree with your assessment of Vettel being up there with Alonso and Schumacher wrt tactical awareness - Schumi and Alonso are experienced intelligent veterans(despite my hatred for them both), whilst Vettel merely has a good side of the garage.
I thought that Hamilton's technical feedback was pretty crap because he can drive around problems so well, which is why Button is so valuable to Mclaren because he is very sensitive to the car. I think the most complete driver is definitely Alonso followed by Button.
I disagree. Kobayashi is a far better overtaker than hamilton. I don't remeber kobayashi ever getting a move wrong and taking someone out of the race.
Who gives a **** about feedback. Button cant drive a car if it's not balanced! Do you call that most complete qualities? NO of course not. Hamilton >>> Alonso >> Vettel > Kubica >>> Webber >> Rosberg > Button
Stop trying to make people laugh. Hamilton made 75 competitive overtakes in 2010. That was the highest of anyone that year. Kobayashi is good, but not as good as Hamilton.
I can understand if you said Alonso and then closely followed by Hamilton( Due to you being an Alonso fan) but really?? Button?? I am afraid that is a strange answer. But who am I to question your opinion...
Wheel-wheel racing skill: Kobayashi. Fearless yet polite. Knows when to give up on a move, and knows when to attack Driving intelligence: Fernando alonso. Knows whats going on around him, and always attempts to react accordingly Team feedback: Michael Shumacher. Always has been the best at giving feedback to the team All out speed: Vettel. Explains why he has so many poles compared to webber, despite using the same car Tactical know-how:Schumacher and Alonso. Schumacher is on first name terms with every nut and bolt on his car. alonso knows how to get a good setup. Vettel will soon join there level. Development: Alonso. Looks like he really does bring 6/10ths to a car.
