Remember watching a vid on MTV in the 90s where Paul Rodgers was talking to Kossofs dad with

Sorry don't know where the rest of that went. It was showing footage of Paul from a young lad with his first guitar until he died broke my heart man.

St. Petersburg by the Leningrad Cowboys has a rather nifty little guitar solo in it.

A superb band and vastly underrated although they do tend to extract the urine with their cover versions.

Would that be the " hooded guru's" of "what's my scene" fame? Good, band and funny with it.[/QUOT
Yup; had the first five albums up to 'Kinky' then lost interest. Only recently purchased the four remaining studio CD's after recording lapse. No change; amusing lyrics, some pop/rock, a few ballads and, of course, the usual real rockers!

The Hoodoo Gurus are just one of the many antipodean artistes I have 'discovered' over the past thirty odd years. Midnight Oil, The Church, The Mutton Birds, Jimmy Barnes, Carus Thompson and Hunters and Collectors spring to mind, Strangely, although I own all the studio albums, I can take or leave INXS.

Saw Free at the Bay Hotel on their first ever visit to Sunderland, great live band from day one, think Fraser and Kossoff were only about 17 at the time. There was only about 50 people in that night, last time I saw them at the Locarno there was hundreds turned away.

I had The Killers opening riffs of When You Were Young as my ringtone. Great song.

Until I dove into the pool 5 days ago with it in my pocket. Now it just buzzes. Every once in a while.

Do you remember a group called 'Three Man Army' from the early 70's?

Good band they were ..

Still modding mate. Just posting less.

This place is awesome DJ. Never thought I'd ever get to a place like this.

Back to reality after the weekend though.

You be safe out where you're heading to next month!
