    Being a Lead Guitarist myself, I was brought up old skool in the Merseybeat days of the 60's, Johnny Be Goode was great Intro and Solo to play, but not neccesarily the best, I always like the ending solo on Hotel California, another favorite of Mine is the 'Sultan's of Swing solo.

    Sultans of Swing, I have heard his explanation of how he came to write it, but I,ve always had the feeling that I have heard it somewhere before, any ideas, or am I mistaken.

    I always thought this lad was one of the best guitarists ever..

    I can go Leslie West, Frank Zappa, Jimmy Page, Andy Powell, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Rory (the best) Gallagher, Paul Kossoff, Dave Clem Clemson and it goes on and on..

    This lad though was quite brilliant with a Les Paul in his mitts..

    First went to Jamaica in 1962-3, and as the ship neared the Carribean the radios started picking up the local stations, most of the music played was American, first time i heard Otis Reading and the stax stuff, but local records were also played, something very different, in the down town drinking establishments the local kids only got up when their favourites came on and these were the early renditions of Ska and Reggae, copied very poorly in my opinion later by UK artists. If you want to see todays Jamaican street culture try Boom TV on you-tube, its a strange mix but still has the feel.

    Can't believe I didn't throw this in earlier..

    Probably one of the best guitarists to ever hold a Gibson Les Paul and then you have the great bass solo from Andy Frasier..

    @Macvin

    Enjoy mate..<ok>
