Always thought these two were class: Jeff Beck on Blaze of Glory is immense! This guy plays it pretty well though
Absolutely spot on. It's not always baout how many notes you can play in a second. Knopfler is phenomenal to: (from about 5 minutes in) This is immense!
Buddy Guy as mentioned previous, playing with Junior Marvin on harmonica and of course Bo Diddly Who Do You Love, Electric.
Can't profess to have that great knowledge of guitar players but I thought Santana with a girl called Michelle Branch in a song "Game of Love" was the best I have ever heard....
Always loved Buddy Holly solos, got laughed at by lads who knew more than me so I kept quite for along time, but I have decided to come out of the closet, been murder in there lately with that Davie Jones bleating on about Major Tom all the time.
Brave attempt but still love the original, one of my lasting memories is being about 10 feet away from the Zep at the Mayfair, used to say you must have been able to here them in Crowtreee Road that night.
The noise that Brian May conjures up always amazes me and for sheer Drama, his National Anthem from the top of The Palace, deserves a mention. Mark Knopflers Going Home is haunting and surly timeless. I found a piece on YouTube of a duet, Mark with Chet Atkins. I know little about Guitar music, but even I can appreciate these two masters at work.
