Occasionally a freak result happens. This was one of those occasions, seriously.

I think they had 2 shots. We had over 20.

I'm not being disrespectful to Burnley, well done. However, that game could have been 4-0 easily with our performance.

It wasn't so we move on. But the tag people have labelled us with this season (purely because that result) is premature imho.

Your not being disrespectful yet you are wiping out 2 goals they actually scored and adding 4 you were incapable of <doh>
 
Liverpool have conceded 3,2,1,1,1 = 8 goals in 5 games. Scored plenty, but so far there is a similarity to last season - raising their game for the big teams, vulnerable against the lesser ones, always liable to concede goals....

I've yet to see any evidence of Liverpool being able to bridge the gap. Teams will see exactly what they saw last season - a team who carry an attacking threat who concede goals. If you defend well, you get chances and can beat them.

(P.S. - and for the avoidance of any doubt, I haven't seen any evidence that Utd are any better than the up and down team of last season either)
 
I'd wait to reserve judgement until after the Watford match Luke. Often at Chelsea under JM they were only one match away from failure and failing at Watford might prove a disaster. Has JM's luck run out? I do find it strange that Utd engaged him after a failed season at Chelsea. He proved that he wasn't the man to put things right in a crisis.

Everybody's worried, City look to be the only team that have made a big improvement so far. The only saving grace at the moment is they seem to falter in the second half of games, if they put that right they will be a very good side.
 
I've just found out that this was Conte's first home defeat in a league for three and a half years. Ooooh, NOT good.
