You said he won bugger all and was a bottler - just had to check who mentions winning a major .

Henman was a good tennis player ,but you seem to think being good earns you majors .

Henman came up against people like Sampras , Agassi ,Hewitt ,Roddick and Federa ,

Most of the nationals are pointing out that gasquet is recovering from injury and is well under par. However you can only beat what's in front of you and with luck he may get through to meet Djokovic . We will learn more then. In the meantime another step in the road.

Agree, also Djokovic has had his problems and is not in the best of form, so you never know.

Edmund can undoubtedly become a top 10 player. I watch a lot of tennis and he's got all the shots for sure. Maybe not as talented as Murray (not many will be) but if continues as he is now, he can definitely win tournaments. Grand Slams? Maybe.

He had an epic semi at Wimbledon against Ivanisevic, I remember it well because I was watching it with this girl in Hull & I should have been shagging her instead.<doh>

Edmund wins in straight sets, 7-5 6-4 6-4.

First time into the third round of a major.

Well he does get to meet Djokavic and luck had nothing to do with it.
Worth noting again that he is only 21. In the light of some the criticism our signings of similar aged players, "if you are good enough you are old enough".

    Don't be an cockend.

He's new, if he loses in straight sets to the World Number One it doesn't matter at this point in his career.
