Per the HDM, the club has opened discussions with Phelan's representatives regarding a long term deal to become City's permanent manager. I would suspect the negotiations would be wrapped up pretty quickly so long as the terms are acceptable for all parties involved.

Hull City have turned their attentions towards securing Mike Phelan's long-term future as manager following a productive end to the transfer window.

City's recruitment drive burst into life in the 36 hours that preceded Wednesday night's deadline, with six signings made to bolster a threadbare squad.

Club record signing Ryan Mason was joined by David Marshall, Will Keane, James Weir, Dieumerci Mbokani and Markus Henriksen in a dramatic conclusion to the summer, but the Tigers focus has quickly switched to Phelan's position as caretaker boss.

The 53-year-old has been responsible for steadying the ship since Steve Bruce's resignation as manager in late July, overseeing a magnificent start to the Premier League season.

You'd think the Chinese might want to wait until they're officially in charge otherwise the Allams will get some credit in the future if it all works out well.

Crossing fingers the new owners are made aware of the cynical attempts at rebranding that the Allams had been undertaking and order the name to be re-instated as Hull City on the OWS, tickets, programmes, merchandise, signs etc.

Great news and thoroughly well deserved. He'll have a few new back room appointments to make following the Allams spate of sackings.

maybe we should hang all the Allam Out banners outside the Foreign Office/ Home Office

I dont see how we can improve om MP. He seems the astute tactitian, the players respect him and I think he was responsible for a couple of the new signings coming here. Give him his chance he has more than deserved it.
it was weird when he seemed to go missing for a few weeks near the end of last season
