Discard any remaining 'Fez' type headgear and replace with 'coolee' hats.

It ain't done 'til it's done, but the club certainly think it will all be sorted by Monday/Tuesday.

    I can't believe you never told he'd drifted out to 18-1 :emoticon-0112-wonde

Phelan definitely deserves it .. and manager of the month .. how he got the lads left playing to get 6 points out 9 was a minor miracle

Big questions remain over his inability to come up with a Plan B - when Man U scored he should have laid into the lazy basterds and changed things around, put on fresh legs but the game just drifted away..

    Where's McLaren he'd do a job..

It was someone on here that mentioned it when I think it was Bob Bradley & Zola were getting to the favourites!

Meh. I know this could be taken as hindsight, but if I'd known, have had £50 on it.

    18's was very too big.

Don't moan about missing out on long odds , let's face it nobody wanted Phelan when Bruce did one , it was almost scoffed as a cynical two finger to the fans from Rehab Alan ... Fukkem tho because happily he is doing a great job

I have to admit, whilst Phelan was not my preferred candidate, he has grown on me. I found his pre match interviews refreshingly up beat, with Bruce his interviews always left me with a feeling his team was beaten before they stepped onto the pitch. Hardly an inspiration for the players. Phelan despite having to operate through a **** storm has been upbeat and served up some decent football too, with almost no players. Decent, be interesting if he keeps Clemenceau as number 2 or brings in someone else?

Let's hope that he performs better as Phelan's assistant than he did during the Treaty of Versailles. His vindictive insistence on unsustainable German reparations undoubtedly led to hyper-inflation and the rise of National Socialism.

However, he was nicknamed The Tiger, so, you know, ultimately no harm done.

He's the right choice for the moment. I see the 20/20 hindsight experts are out in force.
Phil Buckingham, you don't need a hyphen between long and term.

Aye, I didn't want him, still don't really. Now he has to pick teams, but good luck to him as he has certainly earned a shot at it.
