Pat Murphy @patmurphybbc Also, move 4 Abel Hernandez fell thro' over personal terms after Hull finally agreed 2 negotiate.Told deal dead.
We even accepted the offer? Where does that leave Abel? We were prepared to accept an offer and he didn't get his move through greed? Edit, I think we should be utter ****s and nick in and sign Kodjia just because we can
Is Abel's contract up next summer?,if so we should have sold as i do not think he will resign another unless we break into europe. Now we could possibly lose him for nothing next year if his contract is running out.
I think Phelan wants 2 sitting midfielders - at the moment we have Clucas, Huddlestone, Meyler & Livermore all fit for this role - 5 for 2 spaces enough??
I wouldn't expect them to respond to all the rumours, (in fact they respond to nothing) but Abel is a key player for us and warranted by exception a statement in my personal view.
The only way I could see any truth about the Hernandez rumours would be if he wanted out, but it hasn't looked like that so far this season.
Well if we have, we keep him and if he has a good season sell him for 30mill at the beginning of next season
We need Abel at the moment to increase our chances of staying in the division which is worth zillions. Selling him now for 20 million because we'll receive nothing if we sell him at the end of the season doesn't make economic sense to me if it costs us a place in the Premier League. Anyway, keeping him now it will give us time to either negotiate a new contract with him or find a replacement. To sell him now just before the deadline would be very bad news I think.
I think as OLM says we have the option of another year. It seems to be how contracts were put together around that time.
Just wait until a few get injured, a few lose form and a few get suspended ... and a few get lost on the way to the ground.
