Really?? Wow. Really? If he returns to the form he was in before his injury - and he just scored on his return I think - JR is better for me. He also has a better top flight scoring record than Abel, AH can score 20 in Serie B or the Championship but hasn't scored double figures in a top flight - Jay got a dozen the season before he was injured. Jmo of course.
Well given Marshall had supposedly agreed terms I assumed he'd be announced as soon as his medical results were known. Guess not.
That's interesting, how many sides in the league, particularly the lower half, play with 2 strikers? I can only think of Burnley, Watford and Middlesbrough. Bournemouth, Palace, Sunderland, Swansea, West Brom, Arsenal and us all play with one.
He had one good season in the Premier League and then missed a season and then scored none in 12 games the season after. That's not as encouraging as Abel who got a lot of goals in the Championship and given the type of goals he got he can get a lot again if he gets the chances. I think it depends on the chances we create.
Things are often agreed in principle with mechanisms in place be guaranteeing outcomes in a multi-layered legal, sporting and business culture the UK currently leads. Globally. Apparently. One of the founding principles of this is that no rubber stamps are issued on a bank holiday as the establishment is preocuppied with either hosting or attending key-swapping parties and watching village cricket in the home-counties. Do you not have this in Australia?
As i said, if he returns to the form and player he was before his injury (when he scored 15 in 33 games and some pearlers, I always enjoyed watching him and he deserved his England call up) - and he has 1 in 2 this season after a proper pre season - I think he's a much better option up front as a one or in a 2 or 3.
We don't have bank holidays so to speak, no. Actually, I think we have one, the other week, but generally they're public holidays, where things still get done if important.
I think it's horses for courses. A front 3 looked very effective against Swansea and Leicester, while I think a front two would have done better against United, which is why we're getting Keane in I suspect.
And also as i highlighted (and i like AH - really not bashing him here) Abel has a track record of being a Serie B - Championship scorer but only getting 5 or 6 top flight. Hope he bucks the trend, like!
Difficult to link to radio, but I think hdm have reported an agreement to cover "transfers". Phelan has confirmed "activity" and independent sources suggesting movement. I think the probability of an agreement based on the likely state of affairs is more a certainty than not. But of course I actually know no more than any other ****er that loves this bloody club!
Things still get done if really important, Just no rubber stamps. The rubber is being diverted to the home counties. Seriously, getting anything legal, ratified -official administration-wise done then it will have been difficult since 5pm Friday. See where we are in 8-10 hours, then tomorrow night and we'll have a realistic idea of where we are going into Wednesday.
We're set to confirm 3 signings on Tuesday apparently. http://www.football.co.uk/hull-city...erfeed&utm_medium=twitter#TjRz5MmHl9KIE9LA.97
