According to the
Birmingham Mail, Jay Rodriguez is looking likely to join Hull on a season-long loan, as opposed to West Brom.
The report says that Burnley have not agreed a deal with
Southampton, but Hull are looking likely.
West Brom. were thought to be closing in on the signing of Rodriguez, but this looks unlikely now.
Rodriguez is currently fourth choice striker at
Southampton, with Shane Long, Charlie Austin and Nathan Redmond all ahead of him in the pecking order.
This has led to very limited game time, with Tony Pulis now looking to bring him to the Hawthorns – where he would get far more minutes in the
Premier League. However, he now looks set for this at Hull, instead.
The 27-year-old still has three years left on his contract and Claude Puel sees him as part of his long-term plan at
Southampton. However, they want the forward to get some regular game time to build his fitness and form.
