Wine glass makes the pub sound posh. I asked for a wine spritzer and got it in a pint glass. Chilcs took pity on me and got me a second wine to stiffen the drink a bit.

I did warn you on the pub..... all about location for those coming from the North.

I've always fancied a Saturday breakfast in Wetherspoons. Full fry-up and a pint or two. I'm sure it would be a good start to a weekend but I don't have the courage any more.

I still do it occasionally, it's a special treat when I get to go to a Saints game starting at 3. Train to Soton at 9, Wetherspoons at half past ten, few pints through the day then train home sometime after the match
Couple of times a year and my liver and wasteline can both recover.
