Fool. You talk rubbish and criticise people for querying what you say and then you feel hurt when you are shown to be wrong.
They posted the tables before any matches were played and they've done it for years. I think it's a database generated thing.
I think some of you need to visit the Arsenal board, some of the in-fighting on there is epic (not so much since A87 got banned)
They must be going crazy. Surprised they got it back to 4-3, I thought they were going to get done 3-1 or 4-1 pre-match and it almost came off.
Not going off posted stuff mate, just what is shown on BBC and Sky, they both said they don't normally do it this early (and I can't remember seeing it) but did so because you were top under hard circumstances EDIT...........before matches were played you just backed up my alphabetical argument
I'm pretty confused because I think we were saying the same thing haha. Alphabetical is used after goals scored, which is used after GD. We were top Saturday because we had scored the same as Man City but H comes before M. We're third now because Liverpool scored more. If you go to the BBC site they have the PL table.
I was talking about BBC website. They've done it for years. Alphabetical is last. Points, Goal difference, Goals for, Alphabetical.
Hmm, so they take goal difference and goals scored into account before a match has been played, sounds legit
Before matches are played the points, goal difference and goals scored are the same for each club so alphabetical is next.
Yep as there have been no games played, everyone has a 0 GD. As no one has scored a goal, everyone's goals scored are 0. As a result, the table is alphabetical. After Saturday, 14 teams had played, so they had points to rank them on, teams tied on points used goals scored, as some had the same amount scored they used alphabetical to split those. EDIT: Pete beat me to it.
When I was a little kid before computers and the internet the papers didn't do the league tables before a match or even after the first match. Now the tables are computer generated they can do it without any effort. I remember working out City's position myself after the first match every season years ago.
