Financial Fair Play. It's nothing new.
We're currently a long way off having to worry about FFP.
Financial Fair Play. It's nothing new.
I think you need to understand the rules.Financial Fair Play. It's nothing new.
Maybe you could respond to a post without taking a pot-shot at me.If we have to worry about FPP then ever other club in the Premier League will have gone over the limits a long time ago.
Maybe because he's in Australia he has got the rules upside down.
New regulations for the 3 years from 2016/17 fix salary increases to the greater of a fixed amount each year (£7 million a year from 2016/17 salary levels) or £7 million plus any increases in non broadcasting revenues.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Financial_Fair_Play_RegulationsWage increases are limited to a percentage of increase in commercial income. TV money has no bearing.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_Financial_Fair_Play_Regulations
"Only a club’s outgoings in transfers, employee benefits (including wages), amortisation of transfers, finance costs and dividends will be counted over income from gate receipts, TV revenue, advertising, merchandising, disposal of tangible fixed assets, finance, sales of players and prize money."
What you are saying would make no sense at all.
Everton have just been taken over and are planning to spend a lot more than they have spent before. We cut our wage bill in 2015-2016 and so far again this year. There's a big increase in our TV money so we can afford to buy players and pay them.Other teams in the PL do worry about it, such as Everton.

We didn't come under the rules because our wages were less than £52m last season.Did you read the link I posted?
Here's another.

As I said on the previous page, with the sale of Diame, and the size of our squad, we can still spend a reasonable amount, I just suggested we can't go out splashing cash around on mega-stars.
Good. So you wont be spouting any more nonsense. We cut our wage bill in 15-16 because of relegation. Those clauses are now redundant as we are back in the PL and our wage bill is now back over 50m according to OLM.
I never said we couldn't afford to buy players or pay them. I'm done with this though, not sure what you're trying to argue over.
In 2014-2015 our wage bill was £55.6m. We have lost a few high earners since then and took on a few low earners. Our wage bill for 2015-2016 will have been a lot lower. We have plenty of opportunity to spend money now. We are unlikely to be able to buy expensive players more to the fact they wouldn't want to join us rather than due to financial considerations. We cut our wage bill in 15-16 because of relegation. I would like to think if we can get a couple through the door even loans more will be happy to follow......In 2014-2015 our wage bill was £55.6m. This thread gets clogged up enough with 'debates' five pages long on things not relevant to transfer news, we don't need another on FFP. Make your own thread on it and just **** off, it's boring.
