I didn't go to the game today - sat outside in West Park with many others... hoping these takeover talks become reality soon!!

Talk of transfers - sport journalist Alan Nixon tweeted we're in for Nemanja Nikolic the other day... I'm pretty certain I saw him and his agent walking through West Park at half-time. I'd seen a picture of Nikolic as I Google'd him when we got linked, and recognised the face (plus, you don't get many suited people walking through West Park). Both in suits - Nikolic a little more casual. Agent looked a bit like Chris Hughton. They came out of West Stand reception.

I may be wrong, he may have a suited doppleganger walking through West Park on a matchday.
 
I think its right what Phelan said post game.... we might actually look more attractive now to players we might be after. Just need some money to buy people with now.. Maybe first born has asked to borrow the cash for Nickolic from the Chinese!!!!!!

Yeah said it during the game. Looks better for prospective owners and players now. No one wanted to join because they thought we'd get belted every game. We have Swansea next and could well be on 6 points and suddenly we look pretty attractive.

Providing she was still in them, I wouldn't mind a knickerlick<laugh>
 
Just a thought... it seems we are definitely being taken over and the chances are it'll be before the window shuts... if not money will be made available to sign players.. Surely we can do better than this Nickolic guy? If he's going to be a 4th choice striker then fine, but this is the premier league, we need to be buying the best players possible.

Im really curious to know what kind of players Phelan would go for... he's from a massive club where they bought some of the best players in the world... He cant do anything like that at Hull City but hopefully he'll aim a little higher than Bruce did.

Bruce made some really good signings! I have issue with your point of 'Aiming higher than Bruce'. Without Bruce, we wouldn't have some of the calibre of players we currently have.

Agreed, I'm right in thinking that Bruce signed all 11 players who started today right? People cane Bruce because some signings didn't work out but the list of players who have worked out is certainly longer

Bruce generally had good targets you can't fault him for that.

He was like the rich dopey twat at school who's mum and dad thought the sun shined out his arse and bought him the best of everything, but he couldn't use any of the ****e.

We can't significantly increase our wage bill, we can't just go out and sign Bony, or Otamemdi.
 
I would worry now that a new manager , and new incomings would disrupt the much-stated 'togetherness ' and team dynamic . There will surely be targets for positions , but they need to be available , willing to come , willing to come at a price and salary the club is prepared to pay , within a now very short timetable IF funds are available , and the additional proviso of not rocking the boat.
