He could be an excellent appointment if there's truth in it
He certainly could. His contacts would be immense an arl. Pretty much burnt his bridges with Real Madrid though. If he is being considered he'd be my automatic first choice.

I know that is the rule but it is commonly ignored because it is impossible to prove it happens - even if an offer is made that matches the release clause. His representative can't speak to them, on his behalf, without permission.
Newcastle put in a bid. We accept or reject it. If it triggers a release clause it will be accepted & the player is free to negotiate.
Newcastle cannot approach the player without permission.
Got a feeling he'll say how much he wants and it will be a case of "thanks but no thanks"He certainly could. His contacts would be immense an arl. Pretty much burnt his bridges with Real Madrid though. If he is being considered he'd be my automatic first choice.

He's at 22/1 with sky bet. So tempted he he
Surely this is plain obvious to any manager actually considering the job. It's known nationally we aren't spending. He probably wouldn't want any more than the three former Premier League managers would ask for. The stumbling block would probably be when the Allams use the bottom of a pint glass to draw the transfer budget on the paper.
I said: “The contract is terminated when the release clause is paid.” [HASHTAG]#1994[/HASHTAG] andNo, you incorrectly stated that if Newcastle met the release clause and then Diame declined their offer, he would be a free agent. That's not true at all. The money doesn't change hands until everything is sorted, that's obvious and the same with most transactions at any level, I'm not debating that.
What you seem to be suggesting is that as soon as the clause is met the player is no longer ours, which simply isn't true. Meeting the clause only allows the buying club to speak to Diame without us saying no, it doesn't guarantee anything such as sale or contract statuses, that's ultimately down to Diame and Newcastle to agree.

He's not done well in management for years. I think people are impressed by the way he was effortless in his playing days.He certainly could. His contacts would be immense an arl. Pretty much burnt his bridges with Real Madrid though. If he is being considered he'd be my automatic first choice.
The new manager is the current caretaker manager, it's always going to be him. Ehab's probably releasing all these names to get people betting on the latest name, all benefit for Sportpesa.
If only Sportpesa offered odds on managers!
At this point I just want the season to start regardless of how we line up, and regardless of who's in charge. At least then there'll be no uncertainty about where we stand.

He'll have to arrange that medical around his court appearance then.Mo is off he's having a medical tomorrow, also on twatter
It's getting a little bizarre on this thread, people are arguing over whether it's a fact that we haven't signed anyone and semantics over what 'release clause' means?
It's obviously a fact that we've signed no-one yet and when a players release clause is met he can leave if he wants. The end.
The Allams holidaying in France is nothing to do with the managerial appointment, they were already going to France before Bruce left.
If you were considering a job would you want to get a feel for the club by touring the stadium and training grounds with the owners or discussing the appointment over the phone and/or where the owners are on holiday? The owners interaction with staff can be very telling. It's getting a little bizarre on this thread, people are arguing over whether it's a fact that we haven't signed anyone and semantics over what 'release clause' means?
