I didnt say his team mates were ****. Who was a better player - Steven Gerrard or Eric Djemba Djemba?
You're the one who mentioned winning honours means a player is brilliant and I can guarantee Gerrard would give his right arm for the same amount of league titles as Djemba Djemba.
And Djemba Djemba would hack his left arm off for the amount of international caps, champions leagues, fa cups, league cups and god knows what else for a smidgeon of what Gerrard achieved in the game. For the record, to go along with all of Rio's medals... he was in the Premier League Team of the Season for 6 seasons (more than any other defender).
Simon Walton has signed for non-league Garton Town, where no doubt he'll be a big disappointment. The **** him.
Brighton have rejected a bid worth in the region of £6m from Newcastle United for winger Anthony Knockaert.
We got him dead cheap (500k rings a bell), we sold him to Liege for about 2.7m and I think Brighton bought him back for a similar amount.
Is this wrong about the free transfer then? http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ree-fee-for-standard-lieges-anthony-knockaert
I just noticed a journalist on Twitter pointing out that Brighton have so far turned a combined £20m in bids for their players this window, all of them were big returns on the fees originally paid for the players.

Never worth 6m. After seeing him in 2012-13 for LC, I pegged him for bigger things. A bit of a false dawn. A Ryan Williams Mk II.
Agreed, + he's a cheating, diving, injury feigning twat ...... and lbh, we've got one of them already!
