Looking forward to Allen coming back . Gotta say though , Liverpool must be feeling pretty good about having two , suppositily, clubs fighting over their squad player with a single season left on his contract . Although this will be a welcome addition to the club , I feel this move is being done for the sack of the fans and new owner continuity, more than the team .just my opinion , hey ....they're the investors now and we are one of twenty teams , no different than the other nineteen. Now maybe we can concentrate on keeping are other players and landing a striker .
I'd be chuffed if we do land Allen. He's still quite young, proven at this level, limited settling in period, will always give 110% because we're his home club and is the perfect replacement for Britton. Keep Siggy and Ayew get two quality strikers (one on loan) and I'd class it as a successful transfer window.
Ya know , after all our good results with limited resources these past 5 seasons ...we deserve to go out and buy Allen for whatever it costs . And we deserve to spend big on a striker ....maybe even two . We also deserve to do , financially , whatever it takes to retain our important players . These guys want to invest their money on a Premier League club , they best be prepared to invest in what it takes to keep the club in the Premier in the way of a proper squad . No more penny pinching Roofy , we deserve this IMO . Bring on the players and the new season .
Sort out the striking situation with genuine quality and we'll be fine. Keeping the players we have ie Siggy, Ayew, Ash & Montero and we'll have a very decent squad that can compete in this league. Loosing any of the above players and we'd have to replace with a player of a similar quality which will be difficult.
I love what we've done this past half decade and the way we've done it . But it's disretainable in the environment of the moneypit that is the Premier League starting this season . All I ask is preparation to be intact if things don't work out and we don't sell the farm trying to stay up and failing ....a graceful fall and ready to rise right off the bat is all I ask . I'm not being pessimistic whatsoever here , merely realistic . The new owners will want to protect their investment so I actually feel optimistic .
I'll hack my arm off if it guarentees the rumour , and the rumour comes true that were after Bony again and actually happen
Guarenteed staying up if it happened ... I would have bet my house it wouldn't even make a rumour . Just when I think I know something .....if shoes were clues I'd be barefoot at times ....come on Bony !
Sign Bony and Joe and nobody leaves, except Gomis of course, and we can finish 7-9th this season with that squad. Bony as number 1 striker with Ayew and Gorre as number 2 and 3 strikers.
It's not going to happen imo, Allen is due to meet Hughes today about the transfer apparently http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...-to-meet-mark-hughes-ahead-of-possible-13m-m/
Its 50/50 but if jinx has any gumption he could make it 100 % for local lad joe to come home to us......If he signs for sparky then jinx will have not matched stokes contract and that will confirm where we stand with him....
Nothing is 100% ! And you don't even know if Allen even wants to come back here, at the end of the day we could offer £15m to Liverpool and it's not accepted as Allen wants to go and play for Hughes at Stoke.
What are the odds of him not wanting to come home.. He spends most of his free time in Swansea as it is.....
