    They're all doing ok considering it is basically the U21s plus Pierre...They've restricted them to virtually no shots on goal.

    I'm coming around to these unis. At least on TV/YouTube.

    From afar, they are nice and classically stripe-y but you see just enough flashes of white to know it is Saints and not some other red-and-white-striped teams.

    Don't judge too quickly. If you watched the last friendly, Valerie looked like a mighty fine player and I think Olofoma has got something about him too.

    To be fair , I didn't watch the first half and the first bit of the 2nd half i saw was them two give the ball away a few times in the space of a few minutes and it stuck in my brain in a pretty uneventful 2nd half.

    It's not telling us much this second half because there are too many U21 players. Would have been nice to see how they blended with regular first teamers. Pierre is not getting look in. Of the more mature U21 players, Gallagher, McQueen and Reed look good. Isgrove: I must admit I would expect more by now.

    Alfie Jones very composed and only 18 - wouldn't be surprised to see him be part of the first team squad next season
