Nice little run there from hoijberg and cool Finish with the PK. He's played well overall, calm and composed , just finding the passes.

Really reminds me of Morgan on the basis of that game (I know, I know, it's one game against a poor side, but in the way he carries himself on the football pitch).
 
Basically our U23 side in the second half. Didn't create too much and could have let in a couple of goals, but overall a good performance. Good to see Pierre earn that goal by persisting in the run into the area,,,,in general, the youngsters were too careful.
 
Yes!! 3 points! All we need is a draw against Twente or Groningen and we'll be through to the knockout stages.

The Europa League is easy!!

What I liked most was when there wasn't really a ball on goimg foward he was more than happy to play sideways or backwards to keep possession, rather than just a punt over the top when he was under pressure . Don't think he gave the ball away once.

Exactly, the opposition is irrelevant when it comes to football fundamentals.
Control, passing. A top quality player will make it look easy in a pre-season and he did that
 
Most days news lately has been awful and shocking.

A refreshing change to focus on football again. So many positives. It may only be a pre season friendly but the squad is looking good. Looking forward to the new season.
