I believe they (or more accurately Ehab) tried to **** him off, but he wouldn't go.

A club source* says - “There was a total breakdown between Steve and Ehab. It could not be repaired. Steve has grown tired of fighting and felt he had no other choice but to resign."

Never good to lose a manager especially one who has signed you and done so well for the club. Wish him all the best for the future.
I suspect any player tweets are going to be very carefully written.
Steve Bruce had a dream,
Ehab's a raving queen...
will you children change the ****ing record?
according to you immature ****s, "the sun comes up?"............... "****ing Allams"..............."the sun sets?"......."its the ****ing Allams fault yet again"
Whoosh !!They weren't particularly, which was what made it so surprising, although Barcelona playing like twats at the back helped. Compare Old Trafford then, particularly the Stretford .End, with now. All seater stadia? Worst thing that happened to football in this country.

I said this in the next manager thread, they'll put a positive spin on it saying they want a manager to take us onAppointing a manager they want without paying off Bruce.
I'm not saying they have done this.

At least no one can say being a fan of this club is boring.
If Bruce did stay on hoping for a payout then I think he made the wrong decision. No vacancies came up for him I guess so he just stayed on, but I think he should have left when it was clear they wouldn't give guarantees.
