Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy is a target for Hull City.

The Mail on Sunday says Hull's injury problems intensified when Moses Odubajo suffered a dislocated kneecap during a friendly match at Grimsby Town.

Bruce could turn to Arsenal's Debuchy, who spent the final months of last season on loan with Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux, in his search for a right back to replace Odubajo.

Frenchman Debuchy, 30, also interests Bruce's former club Sunderland.

Sunderland are expected to make a new offer for West Ham striker Diafra Sakho this week.
West Ham will sell the 26-year-old but have been reluctant to let him and Enner Valencia leave without finding a replacement first.

Sunderland have had a £12m bid rejected owing to the proposed structure of payment but remain keen.

West Brom, Crystal Palace, Swansea and Newcastle are also in the frame and the Senegal international has interest from Germany and Italy too.

for-grabs Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt, according to reports today.

Sunderland are desperate to remove Bridcutt from the books, with the midfielder equally keen to leave the Stadium of Light after spending the final six months of last season on loan at Leeds.

Since returning to the Academy of Light a fortnight ago, Bridcutt - along with Will Buckley, Jordi Gomez, Adam Matthews and Charis Mavrias - has been training with the Under-21s, with no prospect of a second chance with the Black Cats.

Leeds have been keen to re-sign Bridcutt, although they have been reluctant to meet Sunderland's £500,000 asking price for the 27-year-old, who only has 12 months remaining on his contract.

But speculation today has suggested that relegated Villa could also be interested in the ex-Brighton man.

Villa are expected to be in the market for a defensive midfielder, with Carlos Sanchez on the verge of joining Marseille.

Their new owner has gone quiet, I thought he was planning on turning them into Barcelona in 3 years or something?

Maybe he's had a look at the books.

Manchester City and Manchester United are both after West Ham defender Reece Oxford, 17. It is believed the Hammers value the player at £15m. (Sky Sports)

Just mild insanity compared to a club letting a player go then a few years later trying to buy him for 100m.

He looks like a cracking player to me, with enormous potential. I thought it might have been a little bit more, tbh.

He's also likely to end up as a midfielder.

By 'letting a player go' do you mean like you lot did with Jack Colback? If they don't sign new contracts mate, there's not an awful lot you can do is there?

I was trying to read on how he joined first time around. Its all a bit complicated.

He signed when he was 16 from Le Havre, they claimed we played foul but they never had him under any sort of professional contract, we went by the book and they spat their dummy out. They probably ended up with a few quid afterwards to stop moaning and dragging our name through the mud.
