Anyone know if we are interested in this guy?

Lamine Sané ( Bordeaux) serait proche de Hull City !

    Might have been on twitter.

I don't think so; I believe he has 12 months left with an option for a further year. Originally signed for 3years with a 1 year option.

Sane seems like a decent player, but had a dressing room brawl apparently

Good we could do with someone in the middle of the park with a bit of fight in them

Am I one of the only people who thinks we don't actually lack an Ashbee type midfielder? Livermore and Meyler give us that grit. Huddlestone's not afraid to take one for the team. No, none of them strike me as leaders, but then we have Dawson, Davies and McGregor who are leadership material. Robertson shouts a lot. I would agree that we need someone to partner Hernandez up front, and a back up to both of them as well preferably.

I would of said were more lacking a Robert koren type midfielder and need more pace and trickery out wide

I would agree with that. Diame might be our Koren type outlet perhaps, but Elmo's a bit of a one trick pony and Snodgrass is very slow, even more noticeably so on the left hand side, so yes I think pacy wingers would be good additions. However, If we plan on playing 352 I'd say having Odubajo and Robertson on both sides and Elmo and Clucas as back ups would be sufficient.

Huddlestone takes one for the team because he gets caught in possesion, imo we definatley miss an ashbee type

He does I agree with that but I still think Livermore and Meyler will do, maybe even Hayden if he comes back.

not for me, if we sign a couple of midfielders i think 2 of them 3 could be getting splinters most weeks. Meyler and thudd weren't fiest choice starters last season

Well I certainly wouldn't complain if we did get Ashbee number two in. Screw it, let's just tempt Ashbee out of retirement, I'm sure he's still got it!

Problem with Diame is consistency , not always at the races , need cover for left back clucas would get torn apart if Robertson gets injured , agree with elmo if he comes up against a player who can match his pace he has no way of beating them , would have liked somebody like Redmond from Norwich , hope the rumours of mcmanaman are false

tell him as the away team get off the bus he can meet them at the door with his case of watches and try to flog them one. He'll jump at the chance surely!!

I think Diame will be consistent next season in the big league with the world watching, remember when he first came here he was excellent until his injury. If I remember rightly Koren sometimes drifted in and out of games even in the championship, but overall I remember him fondly. I would have jumped at the chance of signing Mcmanaman in the Championship, but in the premier league yes I think we can get better. Redmond would have been ideal, I think BCC way back in this thread said he would have taken him over Snodgrass from the beginning and I agree with that.
