Does that mean that if Leicester played Iceland every week then Kane and Vardy wouldn't be top scorers in the league? :emoticon-0105-wink:
They wouldn't score any because neither team would attack which means neither team could counter attack. So they'd both all just sit there in their own halves with the ball sat on the centre circle!

If Arsenal played Iceland every week I'm sure Giroud would be top scorer in the league.

In your opinion is Griezmann better than Sanchez? Payet better than Ozil? You could argue both, both ways but they're all very close to each other. It's not the personnel that are different. It's the style of Arsenal's football, worryingly branded as amazing passing football by a few still, that we play under AW that stunts a lot of our players. That said, Giroud is still not a great centre forward and certainly not deserving of being first choice at one of the big clubs.

Yup, Plus we all know Giroud scores in batches. He goes through periods where he plays well then disappears for weeks on end.

Iceland have scored a fair few tbf against the likes of Holland, Portugal, England, Austria, Poland and Belgium among others just in the last year - they hardly just sit back and never attack, as England know only too well...

I was joking. However, that doesn't disprove the theory that Iceland are a poor football team. Just like Greece were a poor football team in 2004. Winning a few matches doesn't mean you're a good football team.. especially when one of those teams is England!

Giroud disappears completely when the team go through a bad patch like we do every season. Henry and then Van Persie in that season and a half, they would score goals out of nothing even when we were playing poorly

Watched that. Klopp is a good manager, I think he'll have Liverpool challenging this season.

You think they'll be challenging this season? Yes Klopp is a top manager but their squad is some way off challenging. I think it'll be one of the Manchester clubs, then what do i know, Leicester won last season....

Hard to say who will be challenging.

Mourinho is unusual in the fact he tends to have an immediate impact.

Hypothetically though.. Conte, Mourinho and Guardiola may all take a while to get going. We should be looking to start strong and gain an early points advantage. (Going to be tough with our current make-shift side)
