No, a common misconception. Some football club networks use FM's database (which features every registered player in every team in the world) to identify players contract details, lengths, current clubs, nationalities, eligibility for national teams and EU status etc. At no point is a player picked because they are good on a game. It's to do with the detail in the databases. The stats on the game are algorithms and numbers and are not representative of real life in any way.
I thought over the last few weeks that it would make sense to complete takeover this week. All players and staff are back, new owners can then speak directly rather then third hand to all at club. Transfer wise also makes sense as most players are back from holidays. Fingers crossed
