One of my Danish friends (the country, not the pastry) has told me we are looking at Alexander Munksgaard and Pione Sisto at FC Midtjyland, or so the reports in Denmark go.

The former is only 18 and he's a RB, so guessing he'd be one for the reserves. Sisto is a rapid and tricky winger and is probably Denmark's brightest talent at the moment and I think a Bundesliga team (possibly Hertha Berlin) were quoted €9m for him a few weeks ago.

Alas, it's 99% likely to be bollocks, but Sisto is a proper talent (he showed up Man U or whomever it was they played in Europe last season) and he'd be just what we needed as an injection of pace.
Surely we don't need another right-back with Elmo, Dave, Tymon etc. Sisto is interesting but for 9million euros, I'd get Brady back for that if possible

Think Januzaj's a bit lightweight, not sure we can afford that luxury.
Maybe you are right, we carry Diame quite a lot as it is. I've seen Januzaj in the flesh a few times and was quite taken with him, you don't see how well he runs at players with the ball on TV, apparently he pissed Van Gaal off by trying to score directly from corners too and thats why he was bombed out by him so has a bit of attitude and fire.

I've no idea if he's any good. the euros are no way to judge anyway. But he did score 7 in 25 when he was in the PL with Reading.
If we signed another cf and he was third choice I'd be fine with that.

Indeed so.

<laugh> what's he done to impress you so much? Even the Reading fans are glad to see the back of him. Christ, he's only in the Wales squad because the only other alternative would be Simon Church.

I'll let the lambert thing slide, even though he's nowhere near Premier League quality anymore and I highly doubt we are interested.

HRK would not break the bank and has PL experience with a point to prove. New club new lease of life.
Lambert is a good short term option unless of course Diomande shows us something in pre-season that
was not seen last season. Hernandez needs to play off a target man.

You may well be right in that we are not looking at either in anyway shape or form. However we have signed worse in the past as history shows.

twt.

The Times are linking us with making a move for Jeff Hendrick but sensibly stated a move wouldn't be made until the future of the club's confirmed.

It's why I don't think it's true. Although Tymon is a LB. Were you thinking of Lenihan?

But if he wasn't good enough for Reading, what makes you think he's suddenly going to be good enough in the Premier League again? He's not once looked good playing us or playing for Reading full stop which is why we're a little confused that you're backing us signing him. A new lease of life doesn't always ring true, look at what happened with Ben Arfa and he's 10x the player HRK is. Also, his initials are an anagram of HKR, so no chance we'll sign him.

Hernandez doesn't need a target man to play off at all, what he needs is the team to play to his strengths, get it into his feet and let him have attempts on goals. He's managed 20 odd goals without a target man, I think it's safe to say he doesn't need one. A strike partner perhaps, a target man not necessarily.

I like what I've seen of Ashley Fletcher - albeit in League 1. He's available and would be relatively cheap.Worth a look in my book duck.

As would, oft mentioned on here, Bradshaw of Walsall - Rotherham just had a 250k bid turned down.

Both young centre forwards who have performed well in League 1 and seem to be relatively low risk.

Bradshaw will be playing at a higher level this season, no doubt about it. Walsall are holding out for £2m.

Palace are quoting 11m for Gayle and Fulham 12m for McCormack,
Either Bruce gets lucky with a FAT or an inspired lower leaguer signing or some serious moneys going to have to be spent to bring someone proven in.

£12 million for a 30 year old in August is never going to happen! They're just trying to put people off. In reality £5 million is probably his true value!

Lenihan, yes. He looked decent the one time I saw him , not phased at all.
