A couple of decent games for Wales and you just want to pretend he hasn't been utterly ****e in the Championship for the past three years?
Said it once and I will say it again, Lambert will be this generations Dave Bamber if we end up signing him just because there is nobody else, Stan Ternent will know this as well as anybody..
Perez from Newcastle is going for 10 million. Seems incredibley cheap to me, saying that Berahino at 16 million seems cheap. Dunno if either would be interested but both a step of class above what we have.
There are plenty of other people we could sign. Rather than take on a player who wont start and cant score goals we could take a risk on pretty much any young or foreign player.
I've no idea if he's any good. the euros are no way to judge anyway. But he did score 7 in 25 when he was in the PL with Reading. If we signed another cf and he was third choice I'd be fine with that.
what's he done to impress you so much? Even the Reading fans are glad to see the back of him. Christ, he's only in the Wales squad because the only other alternative would be Simon Church. I'll let the lambert thing slide, even though he's nowhere near Premier League quality anymore and I highly doubt we are interested.
He did indeed achieve a decent return for one season in the Premier League in 2012-13, though ironically, not playing as a striker, he was their first choice left winger that season.
Don't worry SB has found some guy who has been bench warming in Germany who has scored something like 7 in 36...
With muppet resigning and Huddlestone nearly done it looks like Bruce is staying as he's getting his favourites to stay. Hayden and Powell were supposedly on his radar but he seems to have forgotten about them.
One of my Danish friends (the country, not the pastry) has told me we are looking at Alexander Munksgaard and Pione Sisto at FC Midtjyland, or so the reports in Denmark go. The former is only 18 and he's a RB, so guessing he'd be one for the reserves. Sisto is a rapid and tricky winger and is probably Denmark's brightest talent at the moment and I think a Bundesliga team (possibly Hertha Berlin) were quoted €9m for him a few weeks ago. Alas, it's 99% likely to be bollocks, but Sisto is a proper talent (he showed up Man U or whomever it was they played in Europe last season) and he'd be just what we needed as an injection of pace.
