At least we can support Wales now, a team that actually try not to embarrass themselves

I thought first half he looked good, second half he was soooooo bad, every touch was poor, his decisions were poor, his passing was shocking. The pressure got to him and as the most experienced player he ought he had to make something happen, made him fall to pieces. Then he lost his legs. Should have been off for Rashford much sooner.

Wilshere and Rashford are the only players I'm not entirely disappointed and angry with right now tbh. Utter **** from the rest. It was so obvious that Rashford should be on for Rooney earlier.

40 minutes ago I called for Rashford on for Rooney... How did Hodgson take so long to see it...

The FA appoint these tactical dinosaurs to manage the team. Roys entire managerial game plan boils down to .. If we are behind I'll just add more strikers. If we are ahead I will just add more defenders. It's not a ****ing numbers game Roy!!

Out of Europe for the second time this week. <steam>

It is truly incredible, who would have said before the tournament that Wales would get to the quarters and get the furthest in the comp of any home nation!

It was a catalogue of mistakes, even before we left with some of our selections before the tournament began. Dropping Drinkwater, who had a great season for Wilshere who didn't even factor for the entire season (who would probably struggle to get into our first 11 even fit), and drop Townsend for another CF was scandalous. For facks sake, we had no bloody wingers in this team, just a large collection of CFs, no wonder we didn't get any width. What about him consistently playing Kane and Sterling who were absolute balls, he kept on persisting with these players.

What is with these England managers and showing so much loyalty to players. Play your best bloody team, not what you perceive to be your best players. The whole team looked disjointed and rudderless.

What's sadder is England genuinely have good players, but Hodgson was a clueless manager, appointed by the equally clueless FA, which brought upon a terrible outcome.

Typical England narrative. Young players are built up too quickly, put under unnecessary pressure to the point where they cannot enjoy playing football anymore. The become resentful because of the backlash and become all about the money.

Anyway Italy are the best side in the tournament for me. By some distance. I can see them easily doing a job and Germany.

Wilshere wasn't a mistake. When he came on he was the only England player looking to make forward passes.

Strurridge and Kane shouldn't have started. The key to beating a side like Iceland is keeping the ball and making them chase. Wilshere and Barkley should have started as should Vardy.

    Kane should have been dropped.

Weird though right? On paper that team is totally average but they playing like absolute World Beaters.

Gotta love the Italian attitude towards these tournaments.

Be interesting to see if Belgium can keep improving. Lukaku and Hazard can be a serious problem for any side.

It definitely won't be - it'll be much more interesting to see Belgium crash and burn in the next game! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

This is what I can't understand about England - I mean I know they're not amazing but they've got a decent to good side but they all play as individuals with no system, no cohesion. Maybe it's the ridiculous pressure and expectation that they get put under, but they just never seem to show any sort of ability to play as a team/unit or any technical ability.

I think having players playing in other leagues would help, it would increase England's strength in depth as well as improving the players technical ability and giving the players experience of different playing styles.
