Single (obviously important ) issue mate...he's overall one of those slimey career politicians....has he resigned yet? Na...he'll hedge his bets not wanting to upset anyone...Not remotely leadership material. Alan Johnson should be the guy but he's always maintained he doesn't want it.
Well it looks like some predictions coming through. After a bit of yelling the EU recognise that they'll have to wait. Even if it's to reach agreement among themselves as to what they won't give us lol.. Osbourne another slimey Politician spent the weekend figuring out how he could save his career post Cameron.. expect him to be a leading figure in next govt no matter who is leader as sign of unity.. Labour moving quickly to dump Corbyn...the vote of no confidence will happen quickly..interesting to see how all those that made him leader with their 3 quid would react. The markets will settle eventually because of the nice words of time and patience from EU and European companies... See some EU politicians already starting to turn on the key EU federalists. Expect to hear more concrete proposals for major reform in the next couple of months...one to keep the 27 in line and two in the hope we will change our minds once the parties sort themselves out...probably after a snap election...
I mean you know its the end of days in you party when Diana Abbott and Emily Thornberry are given key roles....
EU Parliament speaks Most interestingly, the Parliament is urging David Cameron to trigger Article 50 immediately. It "warns that to prevent damaging uncertainty for everyone and in order to protect the Union’s integrity, the notification stipulated in Article 50 TEU must take place immediately; consequently asks the UK Prime Minister to notify the outcome of the referendum to the European Council of 28/29June; this notification will launch the withdrawal procedure." The resolution also reminds parties "that the consent of the European Parliament is required under the Treaties; the European Parliament must be fully involved at all stages of the various procedures concerning the withdrawal agreement and any future relationship". In other words, in theory at least, the European Parliament has the power to veto any new deal between the UK and EU. ....................... Merkel rejects johnson's desire for non ending informal talks. no talks about talks about leaving then.
They'll do as their masters tell them lol. Quite right...you don't get to sound out a deal before you push the button..
There's deffo a number of voices at play. none are willing to do any business until uk pulls trigger. Some seem happy to just set out a timetable to give some certainty now. They've accounted for the tory implosion but they need to want this to be orderly but done So the Norwegian model it is then. I found this http://www.theguardian.com/politics...-what-is-it-and-what-does-it-mean-for-britain so bascially we can buy access the the EEA with Iceland, Norway and Lichtenstein Norway apparently pay the EU so we would pay £31.4bn annually for the privilidge of doing business and applying the same laws. SO: 1. UK best case now is to pay virtually all the savings claimed to the EU anyway 2. Sign up to free movement... ooops 3. Have no say at all in law making. if we want the trade we have to adopt. If the ER says tomorrow working time is going to be 8 to 1 and then 6 to 12 we have to go along.. 4. the city of london is going to be decimated... .... but the nhs will get 350mil form somewhere.
Are there alternatives? Switzerland has a slightly more remote relationship with the EU. Its deal rests on some 120 separate bilateral agreements, many of which Switzerland started to negotiate after it rejected EEA membership in 1992. These require Switzerland to follow EU law in the areas that give it access to the EU market. The Swiss also pay into the EU budget but less than the Norwegians. And they also have no say in how the rules are made. Also, where the EEA is dynamic – which means it trails the developments of EU policy in all relevant areas – the Swiss arrangements are static. Crucially, too, they do not cover services, which are so central to Britain’s economy. If the UK adopted the Swiss model then financial services would probably not have access to the EU common market.
Can we just say to Europe ... look it's all gone a bit WEEEEEEUUUUUUURRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH we'll press the reset button and / or turn it off and on again and get back to you ?!
Lol nope...the EU has had countries to referendums before...they wait and see if those that did it follow through....none have yet lol
