If it is true I very much doubt this. Bartons recent conduct has I would've thought given the club adequate grounds for dismissal, and frankly if they haven't thats yet another thing wrong with football these days. If I'd spent the last few months publicly slagging off my boss I'd have been out on my ear a lot quicker than this.

contingency should have been to sell or release Barton alot earlier when there was two quality wingers available in Menez and N'Zogbia, not now and replacing with him **** like Barnetta.

This smacks of unprofessionalism and ineptitude on so many levels. Faults lie on both sides here, and unfortunately the people who suffer are the ones who are left in the dark and are expected to take all the **** that is thrown at them; the fans.

Barton has had 1 good season, he's been on the books since 2007 yet has only played 79.

There'd be no reason for a 'keeping it quiet' statement though, the whole affair has been carried out in public. Out on disciplinary grounds, not for the first time either. Should've seen if Big Sam would buy him again if its true though, get a fee.
