Yes, I thought that when I saw the 0.8 in the exchange rates. Just imagine, a thick, uneducated Leaver noticing and a highly educated Remainer not doing so.

A friend waiting for his flight home texted me that, so maybe that's not accurate, but if I am man enough to post this maybe you could lay off the sarcasm.

    Writes someone discussing politics.

The people have just stood up for themselves instead of people who consider themselves the elite ignoring what the people want and doing what they want.

That explains it. Tourist exchange rates in airports are vastly different from true economic exchange rates. So it seems travelex are already trying to profiteer.

Were you one of those who sneered at people who voted Leave believing anything they were told?

Maybe that's not accurate? No maybe - completely and utterly wrong.

A mate told me so it must be true...

Profiteering? That is extortion, usury, highway robbery. If it were the case, which I very much doubt.

Now you have said where it came from it could be right. The rate i and others posted is the middle rate, its normal to cost a bit more when joe public goes to change money and it would be easy for one of the airport exchange places (always the worst place) to offer a very poor rate to buy Euro's.

Airport rates are appalling, but even Travelex are selling at €1.16 this morning.

I assumed travelex , could be wrong. Anyway they are quoting 1.16 online.

How many from abroad using UK postcdes are fake?

How many of the 35k who signed it in a 5 minute period at half 3 this morning are fake

How many of the 2k who signed in 10 minutes at 4 this morning are fake.

Don't bother answering you've accepted that the petition can be discredited.

Just beat me to it. If I need a shed load of holiday cash I've recently started ordering it online and get it delivered, or get a special forex credit card just for the holiday.

Great, the people have stood up for themselves for once. What do they think they've actually achieved? They've not voted for "stop shafting us", they've not voted for "invest more in our area", they've not voted for "stop immigrants", they've voted to leave the EU. Doing the latter will not achieve the former.

How many UK residents are still in a pub/club at 4am on a Sunday morning? How many UK citizens have mobile phones that let you sign petitions on line whilst drinking or dancing?

    More or less than 37,000?

You are right , I suspect most of the leave voters acted without great economic insight. But they and I voted with our hearts. Fed up with lying politicians both at home and abroad. The EU is not the entire source of our problems , you might call it a protest vote.

I don't know, I was busy watching a petition being signed.

Maybe you can shed some light on how many nightclubbers are out at half 3 in the morning & what percentage of that number 35k is.

Maybe you also know what made 35k of them decide to sign a petition, on their mobiles, at half 3 in the morning, when supping a sex on the beach, being careful not to spill it whilst getting the steps right to the Gay Gordon's.
