Is it me or has Pepe calmed down? A couple of years ago there was a compilation of him kicking opponents all over the pitch, he could kick an opponent further than he could kick the ball.

He now looks like a very useful defender!

I've been so impressed with Croatia. I love their flair players and the technique of the Modric and Rakitic type. With the young players of a very similar mold coming through. Halilovic, Vlasic, Coric, Balic, Jedvaj. They are going to be like Belgium are getting to at the moment. So much youth talent and potential. Those 2 sides are going to be very interesting to watch in the next few competitions.

He is fantastic, but was mainly talking about the up and coming players who will be in the squad for years to come. I also left off the list the very impressive Kovacic. Badelj is also only or 27. He is also fantastic.

I have my doubts though I do think Martin Atkinson overlooked a couple of fouls against but gave two dubious free kicks to Bale's play-acting!
