Come on fats, half of us couldn't even have reached the goal from that far out, and the other half probably wouldn't have scored if there'd been no keeper and no wall.

£90 well spent to see the 'orrible ego fail again. I was so jealous last night of you guys when Ronaldo missed that penalty because I was sat on the Sofa with my Portuguese wife next to me.

I didn't laugh out loud and cheer as I would if she weren't there. Was almost as awkward as being in the Lincoln section 3 times (once at the Dell) with a Saints shirt on and cheering when Saints scored.

Quick Euro 2016 question - do the yellow card get 'reset' after the group stage before the knockout?

Correction it is after the QFs. presumably so that you can't get a second in the semi and miss the final to make sure that the bestest players are not suspended for the big game. UEFA are good at this sort of thing, just don't ask Paul Scholes or Roy Keane ;)

    Discipline
A player is automatically suspended for the next match for the following offences:[12]

      • Receiving a red card (red card suspensions may be extended for serious offences)
      • Receiving two yellow cards in two different matches; yellow cards expire after the completion of the quarter-finals (yellow card suspensions are not carried forward to any other future international matches)

Citizens of republics certainly belt out their national anthems. There's real fervour, commitment and connection there. The French crowd actually surprised me how spirited they were just a moment ago.

What is a player supposed to do.? The ball pops up in the Swiss penalty area, and Rami, the French player traps it on his chest and it pops up high while he has every intention to volley it. So a Swiss player puts his head in the way and the French player's shin gives him a glancing blow to the head and shoulder. Swiss player goes down and Rami is yellow carded. Rami runs away bemused after his booking. But what is he supposed to do.? Take his eyes off the ball to check that the coast is clear.?

3 points and -2 goals for Albania is going to be very borderline to get through. Another goal might help a lot. It's a shame with this format that they won't know until Wednesday.
