Read the thread of posts on there with regard to the current Koeman situation ---> http://sotonians.com/chat/saints-next-manager?p=8
Have to say the long post reportedly from someone ITK does fit all the facts. Koeman's behaviour has been strange to say the least, but the suggestion that his attempt to get a better deal has backfired on him is plausible. And the long drawn out transfer of him to Everton without comment from him does suggest it isn't totally what he wants...despite the money. Most people with a big offer coming put a message out that they are flattered etc. I wanted him to stay because we are doing well and I liked his persona as presented on the media, but there have been rumours that all is not well within the camp. His disdain for the youngsters coming through is also documented, as is his failure to get involved, unlike Poch and Adkins.

Just a strange thought, have the players been playing for Captain Fonte rather than RonKo the boss?
The players play for each other and the fans...there has never been any doubts about our support for them. SKD has also been important in fostering team spirit. By Koeman's own admission, little Sammy Lee is the one who does all the shouting and chivvying in the changing room....glad we keep him (however much the Everton fans would like him....in order that they could kick him to death :)).

Yeah, I think I'd go along with what's been said in the link ... fits everything we've heard (Guan alluded to some of it back in January, for example)

RonKo has never been very demonstrative at the best of times, so what was that performance about when Sadio got the third goal against Scouse, it was totally out of character?

Why does everything involving Saints turn into a ****ing fiasco?
If all that's true, it's only a fiasco for Ron. It's going to be great for us. It'll be even funnier if Jan wants to stay & the club desides to keep him on too. I our backroom staff working well with a new arrival in order to secure stability. Specially if Ron has been such a ****

IF rumours are true, a fiasco not of our making. Also I like to hear that our board (aka Les Reed) are showing backbone....isn't that what fans keep accusing them of lacking? I have never thought that they lack backbone...they can just be pragmatic and not keep players determined to leave (unless we really needed them at the time...like Morgan and Victor). They won't be blackmailed....good on them....shows they have confidence in our methods.

Hope we end up keeping Ron on gardening leave for a year, though. Would prove to the world we have a backbone, not just us few online fans.
