Hull City is financially stable. It has demonstrated that it is capable of servicing it debts and has a minimum income that any business would envy.

In my opinion, of any club currently for sale, Hull City has to be a bargain at £100m.

Any individual or group that wishes to own a Premier League club would see that this is an opportunity worth exploring.

Have you ever been to Akureyri in Iceland? Just wondered, this is football related (just in case, we end up discussing fish bbq)

Only Reykjavík, but it was fish related.

Not at all John, it's interesting. That's about 400 miles(as the crow flies) north of where I worked (Steinkjer in N.Trondelag)...probably a good 18 hours to drive in the best of conditions. Were you in the Merchant Navy, or did you visit on some sort of cruise ?
I loved it in Norway - many similarities to Canada's barren but beautiful scenery. I'd love to revisit the place someday - but I suspect most of the wonderful locals I met there would be long dead (I worked there in '67 before emigrating here).
You're probably right - not really relevant to discussing City's new ownership, but **** 'em all :emoticon-0105-wink:

No fish related, have been to a few places along the coast, but that was the furthest north. Yes nice place, left me pining for the Fjords.

In a lot of ways even without the Allams home games, atmosphere etc, are pretty ****ty.
Away games are more enjoyable. Different boozers different towns more of a laugh.
I think a lot of it is its just so sterile being in the KC.
Once you stop going you realise how **** it is.

You're right Chazz, my last couple of seasons at the KC were dire, fans booing each other, the lack of atmosphere just saps any joy from home games. The late decision on the name change certainly did me a favour, I watch g'kids dancing and doing sport and still got my City fix at away games. No matter what happens in the near future I fear it'll be hard to get motivated to return for home matches.

Just noticed - 'Earn Your Stripes - 'Season Memberships 2016/17'

I haven't actually

Everyone must be wanted apart from me !

So what will the HDM headline news tomorrow morning I wonder? There's been something about the sale or the memberships every day this week so far. My bet is that tomorrow's will be another advert for the scheme.

Could Sputnick Enterprises be the vehicle by which the consortium is trying to buy City? Did a bit of digging last night and it looks like Windy River (Gieve) and SportsVenture Group out of Charleston bought controlling interest in Sputnik Enterprises last October.

Charleston, SC, Oct. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sputnik Enterprises, Inc. (OTCQB:SPNI) ("Sputnik" or the "Company") announces that Sport Venture Group LLC together with Windy River Group LLC acquired control of the Company on September 30, 2015. Pursuant to the terms of a Stock Purchase Agreement ("SPA"), dated on September 30, 2015, Sport Venture Group, LLC and Windy River Group, LLC acquired 5,000 shares [2,500 shares each] of Series A Convertible Preferred Stock of the Company from R. Thomas Kidd for aggregate consideration $250,000. If converted, the Series A Convertible Preferred Stock of the Company now owned by Sport Venture Group, LLC and Windy River Group, LLC would represent 94.424% of the issued and outstanding common stock of the Company.

Sport Venture Group and Windy River Group are in the process of taking the necessary legal actions for Sputnik to do business as "the football co." until such time Sputnik Enterprises takes the required legal actions to be formally renamed. It is anticipated that the Company will pursue three main business sectors in the global football (soccer) space: multi-club ownership, digital and grassroots

See, Don Robby was years ahead of his time.

No I think this Sputnik is involved with the consortium that Duffen is involved in.

Reason why ? SPUTNIK is an anagram of SPUNK IT which sums up Duffens financial policy

:bandit:

OT but why does the idea that Duffen is a financial disaster and The Allams are solid businessmen come from? We had far, far less debt with Duffen than we do now*

* assuming we havent received any of next season's money yet.

Well, the idea the Allams are solid businessmen comes from the Allams.

If someone wants to take over on the digging as I am off to work feel free. Looks like FV Corporation is the football related holding company for Sports Venture. They put more money into Sputnick Enterprises earlier this year.
Pure speculation but who knows.

Because it was all hidden and the Allams paid for it rather than let us go bust!
