Don't worry about that. There are areas where Liverpudlians live and there are areas where the footballers live. The latter are every bit as nice as here.

The good thing to come out of all of this is that Sammy Lee and Dave Watson are staying with the club.

I got no sympathy - he's a big boy who can make his own mind up. I doubt Ron is holding him at gunpoint to Everton.

They were both brought in by Les Reed. Compensation is for Jan, Erwin and Ronald's contracts.

Can't see sammy or Watson staying, new manager will want his own coaches, hopefully those coaches will be Berkamp and Stam and maybe SKD as goal keeping coach?

If Koeman did a uturn and we refused to let him do his job then he would take us to court and win. He is still our employee and he still has a contract. It would be very hard to prove gross negligence and it would amount to not allowing an employee to do his job. This would be the same for any player too.

If he stays on our books we would have to agree compensation to end the contract or let him do the job he has a contract to do.

Not tat it matters because it has all been agreed and announced now :)

In other news Eva Caneiro has applied to become saints manager. That will stop me staring at the yellow bar!

they're confirmed staying regardless. They're appointed by the club, not the manager.

Cant see the new manager being told what coaches he has to work with. I'm fairly certain they won't be in the dug out next season. Unless we hire Rafa.

Former Southampton and England forward Matt le Tissier said he was "disappointed" and "quite surprised" at Koeman's decision to leave, particularly with Saints playing in the Europa League next season.

"He may feel he has got a better chance of winning trophies at Everton. I'd be of a slightly different opinion," Le Tissier told BBC Sport. "I understand they've got a new owner and want to splash a bit of cash, but it might not be as easy a job as he thinks.

"Most clubs in the Premier League are pretty wealthy now and can compete in the transfer market. We just have to move on and look to the next man to take us forward again.

"The players' loyalty lies with the football club and hopefully they will kick us on again next season."

Liverpool is a great place to live these days. Like most major cities though, there's very nice areas and **** ones.

Most of the footballers live out at Formby or in Cheshire.

Go and ask Sammy, he is in the Wykeham Arms in Winchester almost every night and is genuinely one of the friendliest, chattiest blokes I have ever met.

I appreciate that. But you were implying that them staying was a good thing. I don't fully agree with that. Or at all, actually.
