Glad we are keeping Sammy and Dave....have to have some continuity for the players and they will be able to help the new manager when he arrives.
My boys love watching Sammy's antics on the touchline! Let's hope we can keep him out of the clutches of Rafa.
Perhaps the new manager could be housed in a caravan...save time when he leaves as he will just have to hitch it to his car.
I think Kluitenberg will be fuming with Ron, he loves it here. I spoke to him on the train once and he couldn't stop saying how much he liked being in Southampton
If you watched any of the U21 games, you'll have seen (as I did) that Harry just wasn't good enough at THAT level, so, I believe, he wouldn't have made it in the first team. He was reckless with his challenges and his game play was found wanting a number of times. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of his (the way he was playing) and I think he's let himself down a bit by (possibly) not trying because he was no longer in the matchday squad. I think the best for Harry Reed would be to go out on loan to a good Championship club, calm himself down a tad and get back the footballing nouse he had. Then he can come back stronger and wiser and be an important part of the squad. If he carries on the way I saw him play in the last U21 game, he'll fade away and slip even further down the order .......
He's going to LOVE living up there in the 'Pool then, isn't he? I worked with a guy (Toffee supporter - never mind, no-one's perfect) and he absolutely loved the fact that he'd moved to Hampshire away from there and was happy for his family ................
Agree - he looked a shadow of his former self. Who knows, however, with the shackles off he could rediscover his previous form.
Breaking news on MSN Sport - "Lukaku nears exit ....." - Oh yes, I REALLY hope for that. And Stones as well ........... With Everton agreeing they won't take our players, hopefully ....... I'm sorry, Ron - I understand the need to move for money - I've done it myself, but don't lead people on and blatantly lie about it ....... Lost the respect I had for you. Hope we get someone better to replace you and that we dick you both home and away next season ............
Well, this is all a bit disappointing. Football, eh? Anyone want to join me down Ocean Village tonight to lob some bottles at Koeman's balcony?
Yes - I really don't agree with those that say there's a high amount of great managers out there at the moment. I can't think of one standout candidate at the moment, though I would like Bielsa. Is there a reason no one's really mentioning him or he's not being linked? On another note, what leaves me with a bad taste is it appears to be an evolving pattern now that our managers are poached in a hostile manner. I am struggling to think of other clubs that this happens to these days; it seems to me that when a club fire a manager, they usually hire from a pool of available managers. Even the top four tend to wait for managers to go out of contract. Yet we seem to have ours snatched from within contract - the last two anyway, who are the best two we've had in the PL era. I imagine the same will happen again. Remember how in sync we found ourselves as fans with Everton last close season as the Stones saga rumbled on - brothers in arms, clenched fists in the air? How times change...
I'm sure we will get a top quality replacement and Saints won't settle for the cheapest, lowest expectations option.
I wish - we always end up getting screwed on these. Too smalltime, unfortunately, in this crooked world.
I think Saints should step in and announce his departure to take away the gloss of him being unveiled by Everton. Petty as it is, anything to get under the skin!
If Everton want to overpay instead of doing some proper scouting then who are we to stand in their way.
Go 'ed, is right, nice one, boss, well in, sound, belter, made up pardon? Lad, la, lid, sconner, fella, kidda, auld fella, our kid, mate, arlarse pardon? oh **** I thought I'd learned English
