Off Topic EU Referendum

Quickly approaching, Polls have the brexiters marginally in the lead for the first time, in what can only be described as an embarrassing couple of months for both sides. The scaremongering, the lies, made up figures, constant swipes its quite laughable. Anyone who was actually seeking facts in which to help them decide have been left not knowing whats going to happen, maybe their will be WW3, maybe we will all have to sell our children to richer countries in order to buy tins of beans. Maybe we will stay and continue as we are in a "stronger" EU but being overun by 25m europeans!

I already knew who I was voting as soon as it was announced, nothing I have read will be able to change my opinion, if anything the majority of the information I have read has cemented my decision

Im defo voting out. I think there will be a financial hit, house and rental prices will fall, but overall it will be for the benefit of future generations. I willing to take a bit of a hit to ensure we have a stronger country for years to come.

The current scenario isnt sustainable. School places, Gp's, A&E's even roads and public transport will not be able to keep up with the infux of people in the country.

I read in 2015 145,000 houses were built, in comparison 188,000 people entered the Uk from the EU. so that is a 43K deficit in housing without taking internal growth into consideration.

people mention soverigncy, but I think it should be described more as accountability. How can we vote a party in who effectively have no control. laws like tampon tax come in and the government say theres nothing they can do about it so its enforced, we cant hold that party responsible when we next go to vote. It makes MP's jobs risk free, they can argue what they want with the EU council, but if they get out voted then its pointless.

the trade market noise is nonsense too. Which countries in their right mind would want to stop trading with us? we are one of the biggest consumers in Europe, especially for our size. We buy alot more than we sell and that benefits the economies of so many countries. Spain, italy france would all suffer immensly without the income we provide them through trade. it would be in everyone's best interest to agree to new trade deals as soon as feasibly possible.

Remainers talk about the employement laws and safety laws that the EU have brought in and the protection they offer, but I feel we would have implemented those laws had we been out of the EU. just because they wereent already implement back in the the 70's before we joined the EU , doesnt mean that at some point over the last 40 years we wouldnt have done so. As a country we are usually a front runner with these types of policies.

Tax - leaving the EU meanzs big multinational organisations wont be able to hide behind the EU's tax laws. effectively allowing britain to miss out of billions of £ of tax. This is why the big guys want us to stay, this is why you hear the properganda and this is one of the reasons we should leave!

The thing with that is that it won't be the devil you know, whichever way it goes the EU will continue to increase it's political influence to move towards full integration and the creation of a Federal superstate, there is also a major financial timebomb still unresolved in Greece and this will be even more problematical as Italy, Portugal, Spain have serious financial issues as well, I read last week in an online article from the Telegraph that there is some 900 billion euros of debt being held by the central European banks, it is being kept quiet about but will be another major headache to land.

I'd like us out if I'm being honest in an ideal world. I'd like us to control more of our governance rather than being dictated to by the EU in a one size fits all approach.

However I am voting in as I believe it is best for the industry (construction) I work in and I'm unwilling to take the short term hit financially for what could be a long term benefit for future generations. All these immigration issues are great anyway, we need to build more

I think one of the greatest fears in the North East would be how we would end up at the hands of London if we do leave. They don't exactly have a great record of giving two hoots about the North. At least there is significant funding entering the region from the EU.

You have to consider that in the long term if we remain that as the EU works towards integration then the individual nations political and legal institutions will be dismantled as all control is ceded to the central authority, the EU Commission that drives all regulation and legislation is an unelected and unaccountable body, the MEP's do not have any real control over this. You also have to consider that when Cameron and co talk about staying and fighting for change within the EU they have already lost that battle and have no influence, the response to Cameron when talking about reforms after announcing the referendum was for the EU to treat him with contempt and dismiss him as almost irrelevant as they will continue with their agenda irrespective of what we think.

Well if we do Vote out, the 2/3'rd of MP's have intimated that they will ignore the result and use their numbers to ensure we remain in the single market and effectively in the EU. with no election until 2020 they probably feel that they are safe for the next four years so who cares.

Somone did give me an excellent description of why the bigger business want to remain in the EU (not just Tax) but any big british or british based businesses have an area which is increasing in population and the desire and need for items increases, as it increases so can the price or the amount of sales they make, therefore affecting their sales targets/margins/net profits. They dont care about the consumers who buy, they just want more, irrelavent of issues it could cause elsewhere.

Why would anyone in charge of a big business vote out and close its borders to potentially millions of new customers? Who cares about schools (private schools) who cares about the NHS or GP's (Private Healthcare) who cares about Crime when you got 8ft electric gates! Plus the property portfolio's they all already have will continue to increase in price whilst the 1st time buyers continue to live with their parents until their 60.

See what happened to construction in Ireland when EU funding was withdrawn as more countries joined the EU and sucked away the funding, don't forget that we get far less back than we put in and this will only go one way as the EU adds more countries with weak and needy economies, add this to the economic timebombs that are building in Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal and the EU will need to suck more and more resource from the powerful Northern economies, they will also increase migration into Northern Europe at the same time building more pressure on our country quite deliberately.

One of the EU's aims is to dismantle nation states and national identities as a means of encouraging and strengthening EU integration, one way of doing this is to encourage or at least not to discourage mass migrations of peoples to thin or water down individual nations own identity, this helps to reduce resistance to the kind of Federal State that the EU is aiming for, the EU actually views Nationalism as an evil, I think it is even enscribed on a wall at the Brussels home of the EU.

1. Anti-democratic: I have found a significant majority of the people wielding this are ****ing monarchy lovers. Hypocritical mofos. 2. Economy/Trade: the UKTI have a mandate to help our businesses trade worth to reach £1 trillion. Unless you know nothing whatsoever about business, and if that is the case there's **** all chance of me teaching you, Brexit means higher prices for European goods and services, a **** tonne of paper work for trading abroad with the continent, and you are trusting THE CONSERVATIVES to negotiate a good deal... Are you actually ******ed?! It will effect construction, retail, house prices etc etc, and you are thinking about voting out because somebody taught you the word sovereignty the other day? **** you.

3. Immigration: ****ing snoozefest. Did you know 146894586338426842 EU citizens come here to claim benefits . Are you dumb?
The U.K. Government is the immigration problem. Did you ****ing touch yourself through the last general election, or did you stop masturbating long enough to see the promises each party offered? We have enough autonomy on this matter, but you stupid ****s are giving the EU all the blame?! David Cameron couldn't buy spin like that. EU immigrants contribute massively to the economy.

Usefulness: I could go on all ****ing day about the things the EU have done, you can find these yourself through a quick Google search, so I'll just mention this, the EU has largely contributed to ensuring fair pay between the sexes, and is the authority our government ignores when we are trying to reduce carbon emissions. It looks to help out those countries in need, and one thing you can always count on, is that one day you will be the one in need. The cost to us is worked out by the admittedly bias BBC as 161m. NHS 2.6Bil, Education 3Bil... 161m, for the economic benefit, considering what a small dent 161m would be, is a ****ing good deal.

6. Sovereignty: Bitch, you ain't even got sovereignty in your own homes... You compromise with a partner for mutual benefit. 14% of our laws come from the EU, 50% are informed by the EU. Which of those laws and policies is it you tits take particular issue with? How about tax relief for the Rich and the raising of tuition fees for poor students and saddling with a lifetime of debt...
