Everton fans on toffeeweb.com are now getting worried about the time it's taking bearing in mind the amount of money there new owner allegedly wants to throw around.
Quite funny to read as apparently RK's agent has back tracked today on what was reported yesterday that the deal was all done. He is now saying that the clubs have not agreed anything yet, and that is why RK has gone back on his hols?
They're all now saying, is this because he's trying to get a better deal at saints and using Everton??
Like a bloody soap opera, but I still think he'll be gone by Tuesday/Wednesday at the latest. Fair play to Les though, wanting to get the best deal for SFC, and probably negotiating with a new manager at the same time. #wemarchon

Howe's odds have moved a bit today. Conversely good news for anyone who still wants to put money on AVB, can get a bit better 10/1 now.

Why have 32 people said they want AVB as our next manager?

We should have all known something was up when Ron stopped tweeting. The guy loves Twitter yet hasn't tweeted for ages.

Pretty much. I'm a big fan of AVB but if we can get Emery we need to do that, he's clearly a good manager and it's a statement from us too.

Failing that, go and talk to AVB and tell him all about the project and how he'll be left alone to do his job. Long-term.

I'd be happy enough with Howe though, but it'd be a challenge for him. I like him though.

    Moyes? Er, no thanks.

I should think he'll be giving twitter a swerve for the next few days. Weeks, even.

It's really good that is playing out so early in the summer. It's also really good that we have seen this all before. It's great to be sitting in the sunshine. But not with red wine. I find that it gets a bit "flabby" in the warm weather. It's also not great when you are feeling a bit bluh from last nights imbibing. A nice beer later perhaps. Crisis? We are Saints and we tweak the nose of crises.

How is anyone able to get to the front of this thread?! I'm on page 110, and the front end keeps growing exponentially.

Anyway, just can't see Koe working out at Everton. He always seemed he had more of a yachtsman vibe: more Howard's Way than Howard Kendall. Much better fit in the port areas of the south than north. Reckon he'll perform below expectations, though improve them from this last season.

Whilst Ronald has always got the headlines I have always made a point of remembering the contribution that Erwin made.

Just tried to watch the second half of the 3-2 against Liverpool. Couldn't do it. It's been soured.

Don't agree with those on here retroactively questioning Ron's lack of managerial skills, just because he's going - think he's going to be a big loss in that regard, though also easy enough to improve upon. He was simply better than Poch because he finished higher up the table in both his seasons - that's results above technique, which is what it's about. What we will miss is the weight of his reputation as a player, and his sway in attracting certain players. That is something that AVB for one cannot inspire - I could not see myself as a player getting inspired by his sulky young face. For all the resources available to him at Chelsea and Spurs, he dropped the former out of the top four, and never got Spurs into the top four. Which is really where we're aiming, so no idea why anyone sees him as a solution. He points fingers at his players when under pressure, and has only had success in two-horse race leagues. He also admitted himself this year both stints didn't go well in his view, and that he wanted to try other leagues and was not interested in returning to England. Sounds like an admission of below-par performance and lack of confidence in his ability in this league to me.

Agree except that last sentance - While he's probably my 5th or 6th choice, I wouldn't be distraught with Moyes. He's a 'safe pair of hands' and has been where we are before. Away from the expectations he was under at united, I think he could do a reasonable, if not spectacular, job. Certainly prefer AVB, Emery, de Boer and Pelligrini above him. Probably Howe, too.

With all the practise they've had, our lawyers must have got quite good at making our opponents squirm and suffer. I assume thats why all this is taking so long.
