I make far more noise standing than I do when I'm sitting.
That's probably because I'm a typical football fan and we mostly talk out of our arse.

I wonder why opera singers don't sit down if it makes no difference?
They're usually too fat to get up again if they do.
Edit. It was a stereotype joke. ..no need for pics of skinny opera singers. I'll just post a picture of Val Doonican in his rocking chair in reply.
Camera panning around crowd. Over packed Wednesday sections all stood up. Gets to a City section, half empty. A group of City fans in it all sat down. Amongst them to fans in Wednesday shirts 6 seats apart and stood up shouting. Not a word to them.
The overhead shot of the stadium showed the reality of how few tickets we have sold. A total embarrassment.
Anyone who doesn't realise where the blame for this lies really needs to take a reality check.
Yes. The so called fans who could afford to go but did not due to the Allams. Nobody hates Ehab more than i but i went to support MY TEAM, CLUB and have a great weekend away.
I accept many dont have the cash to go which is fair enough. To the rest you are the embarrassment. At least the empty seats were a silent protest and those who were at Wembley did not have to put up with Allam Out chants for a change.
I guess that the Wendies 15,000 or so plastics will disapear once again come august.
The most striking feature of the Owls' support was their response to Diame's goal, they just stopped as if someone had switched them off.
Well done to City's travelling support - it may not have come across too well on television but they certainly contributed to the tremendous atmosphere.
The reason I was not there was nothing to do with protesting, lack of cash or anything to do with the off the field antics.
Spot on ^^^^^^^ this.

Talking about infiltration etc, remember this ?
Good old Keith Mackiln. If City or Sheffield U drew away from home and it would be "City and United dropping a point there". If Wednesday drew at home it was " Wednesday picking up a point there".
Were you at the game in 74 . Are you saying out of a crowd of 23 K less than 10 K were City with Man u bringing more than 13 K . Although only 10 years old , I was at the game . Yes many away fans were present and they filled the east stand but more than 13 K !!!!!. Have you been at the cooking sherry .It's impossible to describe the atmosphere at City to the youngsters of today when MUFC came that season (one week before the SWFC game above).
Biggest away following at the KCOM is approx 4,500 (the whole north stand) which Hudds, Donny, Everton, Borough, NUFC, SAFC and even Mansfield have brought.
Utd brought about three times as many as that, with the glory hunting bootboy dross of Britain making up Doc's Red Army, which easily occupied the East Bank S6.
We'll never see the like again.

We may have only got 9 K the following week but many City fans who only went to the big games would have gone to see Man U but not the glamour of Bristol City . Back then , as now , when a big club came to City the home support would increase. We played Bristol City the following Saturday after beating the top of the table team. We got 9, 000 fans. MUFC also had a lot in Best Stand and loads in North Stand.
What a day, I remember like it was only 42 years ago..
