    Mate of mine got bitten of mossies when playing golf. Got Dengue. We thought he just had flu. Plied him with loads of spirits. Next day intensive care. He pulled through like.

    i can vouch for that, we have a chambers recycling yard right opposite, ****ing stinks.

    When I was out in Saudi I never had temperatures like that.

    Down in the South West, in Khamis Mushayt, at over 10,000 feet altitude, it was never an issue.

    I was only ever bothered by it down on the Red Sea coast, or Riyadh. Hated that heat with a passion!

    most definitely have a fridge on my buggy in that heat, loads of drinks.

    Played the seniors open at Dunstanbrough yesterday....no rain but very very windy...35 points respectable I thought in the conditions

    Don't know the course at all but one over handicap is pretty good mate.
    Always tricky playing on a windy day not knowing how much to compensate, don't mind the wind or rain but hate it when you get both together :headbang:

    One club I was a member of was Houghton le Spring..there are windmills working nearby...if you want to learn how to play in wind..have a few rounds there.

    There is a newish club just about opposite Houghton..Sharpley it is good course for high handicappers
