He did the food at the Minerva Gin Festival. Mrs said they were the best chips she's ever had. The burger was good too. Its a really small menu though innit? I cant take her out for burger and chips.

Top restaurants will always have a small menu so they buy the ingredients in fresh.

Huge menus mean it's probably been sat around in a chiller or freezer.

You can get stuff like a steak, belly pork and seafood as well as a burger.

You've get the perfect pitch. You can tell her you remembered how much she enjoyed the chips so thought of her when you booked the table.

Birds love **** like that.

We liked Marrakech on Prinny Ave, good food and authentic feel to the place. Outside of Hull our favorite is Westwood in Beverley

There's a pub in the Old Town that does amazing fish and chips. You get it Hull style with a pattie and fish chips and mushy peas. Sounds basic, we went near Christmas last year and it was bloody brilliant, and packed out with people ordering food (always a good indication to me)

It is Ranked #2 of 478 restaurants in Hull!!!! By Tripadvisor.

It was The Lion & Key. Reyta pub of the year 2015 and a good selection of real ales.

Scores 4.5/5 on trip advisor - well worth a visit and not daft prices either. Failing that head out of town to the Star in Sancton. Miles better than Millhouse Skidby and others.

Take your good lady here and you can sup some fine ales win-win!

Well
In Hull I'd still say 1884. Nice setting, and good food (and beer actually) I'd recommend table 22, which is set up above the main floor at one end in the window (fine selection of Armagnac too)
I've heard good things about Bait on Prinny Ave, but haven't actually been
East Riding rooms in Hessle is quite nice for something more informal
If you want to go further out I really like the restaurant (as opposed to the bar) at the Wellington at Lund, nice steak.

Bait is **** Dennis
No card facilities
Table 22 in 18884 was soiled and well out of action last time we went
Before I pissed on it
No card facilities at Bait ever? Like I say I hadn't been, but I'll take your recommendation ( or lack of it)

I might have recommended the Italian in Warehouse 13 too, however my second visit wasn't very good ( first was excellent)

My daughter took me to Henry Yeast for my birthday meal last week, it was good, I'd go again.
I nearly said that as I'd mentioned it on another thread
Went there on Sunday lunch
Very good
Sadly it will have been wasted on you but the beer menu is very good. I went for the Flying Dog Raging Bitch, and then something German. The girls were all drinking the fruit beers, which were really good. I'd recommend the honey one particularly
I also ate food

Pipe and Glass in South Dalton - I have been a few times the last few months and 3 courses for 2 people has averaged at around £100. Michelin Star food at good prices and the portions are big - delicious food

It was my birthday, so I did have a Black Sheep and a few glasses of wine.
