Such a crock of ****e.

As DMD said, I'd love them to prove how they worked out 14% and why nothing was done.

Though, considering they said they would prove that the name change will make money, I don't have much hope in finding out.

That's doesn't surprise me.a lot were doing it.but so what.hes claimed to reduce ticket prices.who pays for the kids.the adults.so are they really better off .no.
Shove it ehab

I'd be surprised if it was anywhere near that number, never mind how they could calculate it with any degree of accuracy.

I've seen people claim they scanned the crowd and compared it to ticket sales, which if they're claiming they did the full crowd is firstly bullshit, but also flawed, as they'd have found out if they'd taken the next logical step, and asked the people identified in a random sample..

Point 1) On my 'Earn your stripes' ****, E1,E2,E3 and N7,N6 (currently designated for away fans) are greyed in - same as U6,U7,U8,U9,U10,U11 - surely both these areas can't be for away fans? It has to be one or the other
Point 2) Not convinced they will make more noise in Upper West, although it will be deafening on telly and radio.
Point3) Only been in Upper West once, that was enough for me. Didn't like the remoteness and detached view.

Good job you don't have to be in the upper levels at Real Mafrid, Barcelona, Valencia, , Milan, Dortmund, Dcalke and numerous other places.
It is a great view from Upper West. Just a pity so few are supporters as opposed to spectators up there.

Why's he happy with renewals being "roughly in line with last year" when he then admits many walked away last season because of the price hike. He's basically admitted the scheme hasn't been as well received as they hoped and have failed to boost attendances like the club wanted - and ultimately, without promotion, they're going to be slashed.

It's bollocks anyway, they're a third down on the same point a year ago.

The costs of extra ticket / card inspectors randomly swooping on turnstiles would be worth the club paying as the extra revenue from the deterrent to fraudsters would mean they should pay for themselves many times over.

They don't even need extra staff. The stadium has state of the art CCTV. A few well publicised random scans and checks by nearby stewards would have covered it. Some claim they did the scan anyway, so why not the next step?

Chances are, anyone doing it wouldn't buy a full price ticket anyway, so it's perhaps not exactly a loss, but a child pass gained in some circumstances.

If he moves them upstairs he can charge them all one price.

Downstairs he will have to charge the equivalent zone dependant price as home fans.

Away fans could have 3 different ticket price bands for their current corner.

Unless he makes the lowest match day ticket £30.

I queried that with the league over the north east corner, as it covers three price zones now. They had to do a lot of checking, but ultimately accepted the clubs position. I can't see it would be different for calling them zones.

Exactly.

If word is out there that stewards randomly check tickets, people will stop buying a concession one when they're an adult. It wouldn't be worth the risk of having it confiscated.

People will always take advantage if they can.
If you had a night out around town and was given an extra £20 in on pub how many would hand it back

Sorry mate I've chucked my crappy piece of paper the self service machine gave me in the bin

The issue got worse when turnstile and stewards were told not to check or stop people due to the large numbers of people waiting to get in.

They were also told to overide the large number of problems with the print at home tickets

They then sacked the turnstile staff with 1 days notice and now it's is almost imposible for stewards to do safety checks along with entry checks

They have made there own issues with penny pinching and lost far more in the process

Why was there staff in the turnstiles for the U 21s when it was free to get in?!
