Oh the bliss of mid table mediocrity!

.........the quality or state of being mediocre.
"heroes rising above the mediocrity that surrounds them"

    a person of mediocre ability.

Boro promoted - no OBZ on the bench to save Brighton's day, or has he already been carted off to knackers yard?

I wonder if Brighton will now choke on Sheff Wed?

Perhaps saving him to score the winner at the Wembley playoff final (again)

Our final GD = 0 sums our season up perfectly.

They're saving OBZ for the play-off final - off the bench against Derby, would be all of Keoghs' nightmares come true <laugh>

......but still an extremely "underwhelming", rather than "massive" season for us. As usual I'm looking forward to team rebuilding in the summer, our pre-season contests and next season's campaign. Also seeing the new Dryworld shirts, with hoops all the way around with the new club badge.

I saw that update on Bet365 live scoring - amazing that BBC took 5 mins to update the scoreline with the revised "As it stands" table positions.

Norwich fast losing all those extra game life-lines.

Time to phone a friend Delia?

Game title is so appropriate concerning PL survival.

I'm on the road today from Key West to Miami so won't see the scores till I arrive. Hope we win, don't really care if we don't. One of our more forgettable seasons but still fun on not606 <ok>

Sorry but have to disagree with that. Think the club have executed a perfect transitional season. Many a club have gone straight through the division to league one trying to do the same. The foundations are in place to take the club forward while we're slowly but surely getting our Rangers back.
I respect people experience it as boring, this being the first season in six where we haven't fought for either promotion or survival, but it is desperately needed after years of mismanagement imo.

If history were to repeat itself at Wembley, he'd be off to join this lot.

If their result was only a 2-3 victory today, what would it have meant for us v them next term. What if it was 0-0? And what if they lost 2-1, with a last minute penalty that should never have been given?

I guess I'd settle for a "transitional" season, although with the squad of players we still had on our books, a Wolves like second relegation world have been totally inexcusable for any manager in charge.

Hopefully JFH will conduct a thorough pre-season team rebuilding program and in August we'll emerge in our new shirts as possible top 6 contenders, turning some of those annoying draws into wins, with the team demonstrating some resilience and backbone to hold leads and not cough up all those late goals.

Horrible deflating season ending home match for Huddersfield fans (also Rotherham's fans who travelled to Hull). Bet Smithies (wherever he is) was glad not to be on the receiving end. Brentford certainly showed some intent with 12 shots, 8 on goal, 5 goals with just 44% possession.

Hammers, 2-0 down home to Swansea choking at the possible opportunity for European football.

Bookies still like them though, only 3/1 West Ham win or draw.

Karl Henry's goal against Bristol City was his first since January 2014

Karl Henry's second-half goal ensured Queens Park Rangers ended their season with victory over Bristol City.

QPR defenders Clint Hill and Grant Hall both had efforts cleared off the line during a goalless first period, while Lee Tomlin hit the crossbar for City.

Midfielder Henry put the hosts ahead after the break with a curling shot from the edge of the area.

Sebastian Polter struck the woodwork as the home side pressed for a second goal in the closing stages.

The result means QPR achieve a top-half finish in their first season back in the Championship with the victory taking them a point above Leeds United into 12th place.

Bristol City end the season in 18th place, 12 points off the relegation places, ensuring another campaign in the second tier.

Gutted I'm still at work, a nice hot afternoon in W12 after a win glugging a beer or six is the only place to be right now.

    Anyway happy days <cheers>

For me our new training facility's which have kind of fallen off the radar is instrumental to our future. It also makes a statement to potential future signings that we mean business.

Again we need to learn how to walk again rather these short term sprints of late. Also absolutely we must stick with Jimmy. Ballance our squad and try adding some leadership.

For me if we can have a comfortable season in the top half playing some more creative attacking footy then I would call it progress!
