I'm not supporting Costa, you'll do well to find a post in which I have (in fact it would be a miracle). I'm taking the piss out of the fact that some Spurs fans seem to think that the behaviour of their players the other night was some kind of moral victory when in fact they were tucked up by Chelsea, completely lost the plot and will pay for it into next season.

It wasn't a punch by the way, it was eye gouging which is a **** and a coward's way of taking someone on. Don't think even Costa has stooped that low.

The one thing that every manager and player will have picked up from that game is that Spurs' players and their naïve manager can be easily taunted, rattled and provoked. Expect more of it next season.

See that's where you are wrong and your Stanliness comes out. Just see it for what it is and not what you want it to be...Costa is a ****.

An eye gouge is not obvious as a punch Stan, you 'ard bastard, so there is more chance of getting away with it. You might not think Costa has stooped that low, but to me that sums you up.

Did you spend a massive part of Fergie's reign, up in arms? One of the ingredients of his success was to have a ****ish team , I bet you fookin luvd it.

Leave it out Stan. That **** was at the center of every kick-off going on the other night. As Gonz said, I wish Dembele had really Twatted him!

Dembele is not a dirty player by any means. So that **** must have really been asking for it...don't ask me to feel sorry that he got some. Just wish it had been more...
Dembele should have punched him in the tunnel after the game. By gouging him on the pitch there was only one loser and he showed himself up to be a bit of a coward and a ****.

I just see this as a Spurlock rant. They've become quite common since the title "race" went into the last few furlongs.

And eye gouging is definitely for the good of the game, on that we can all agree.
You just dont see enough WWE moves in football any more

<doh>

And was you up in arms ready to vilify your team in the last decade when they used to cause disrepute every time something went tits up for them?

You loved it, you loved the siege mentality it created and you loved that eye gouging **** Mourinho more than your own mothers.

TBH, a punch in the eye will do as much or more damage as a gouge. Having been on the receiving end of both, neither is nice.

I guess the difference is that if Dembele had punched him in the eye or nutted him, he'd be looking at a lesser ban.

With all the pushing and shoving going on at the time there was a possibly Costa's eye could have impaled itself onto Dembele's digit because of a shove in the back, they were both lucky that scenario never happened, Dembele mostly because he would have had one hell of a slimey mess down his fingernail.

He's no coward, of that you can be assured.
Yes, he was naive and should have flattened the twat in the tunnel - which he's quite capable of doing. Any Spurs player would testify to how phenomenally strong he is..

... the difference is a punch in the eye isn't necessarily intended to cause damage to the eye itself ... normally it's just a punch in the face that hits you in the eye socket area ... eye gouging is on a par with biting in terms of its' violent intent in my book ... barbaric ... and also ranks up there with phlegm gobbing in terms of being disgusting ...

... and cannot ever be excused on the basis of who the recipient is, no matter how abhorent the individual . End of.

Ok, well next time we'll just thump the **** in the eye and claim it was unintentional <ok>

I don't see the fuss anyway, just looks like he was removing Costa's make up. With Kane just making sure Costa doesn't flinch.

Yes.
When our players and/or manager are ****s, yes.........
Next question?

.. a thump in the eye is unlikely to be deemed unintentional ... but is more acceptable and, indeed, understandable ... and we would not now be having this debate if that were the case .... has Diego Costa earned himself a smack in the chops? undoubtedly ... does he deserve to have his eyes gouged? .. no. Hard to justify in a war scenario, never mind a football match.

I think somebody must have gouged that linesman. As he "can't see" what's right in front of his face!...

But, I'm sure the FA has an explanation!.

You probably was Bo your a decent poster <ok>

I seriously don't have any problems with a good ol' scuffle to spice things up. I thought it was a fantastic spectacle. Always love the games with an edge. Both teams played good flowing football as well.

A lot of players have come out and said that it was one hell of a game for them to be involved in and it was.
