I bet I can guess which member of the forum thinks the former.

Think almost everyone is together on this issue to be honest.

We obviously wouldn't make it up. Seems the club wanted the protests to stop, and contacted other groups as well, but didn't want anyone to know about it.

Where are they denying it?

I don't believe the HCST made it up for a second, why would they risk even saying it in the first place?

(btw Happy, just in case, I wasn't referring to you in that previous post, I know you are also against this membership omnishambles)

It all smacks of an organisation (empire) in serious trouble. Something smells fishy and we all know where a fish rots from. The next six months will be critical ones for the Allam family and the club; a wise head is needed, does anyone see one in Allam Towers?

The best indicator will be the sacking or, most probably, resignation acceptance of Steve Bruce. Scrapping the scheme will not happen.

Sports Talk on RH said it had been contacted by the club to deny it. Or RH are in on it as well?

RH aren't in on anything. We sent them our statement and they ran it. Club heard it and were upset that we announced it. Contacted RH and presumably HDM too. Both have responded by updating or removing their stories. They never asked for the request to be kept secret, and whether or not we'd have agreed to that if they'd asked is debatable anyway; it seems like something fans should be aware of to me.

Just replayed Sports Talk and its comments have not been removed.

Sorry. I mean HDM have removed their Web article whereas RH updated their on air reports to add the club's denial. Both have just done their best and I don't believe for a second that they're in on anything with the club.
Ooohh!!! you cant beat a good old conspiracy story can you.

We are very near the time when minds have to be made up. My party of five will not be renewing if the scheme goes ahead. A lot of words have been written re the scheme. I'm interested to know if any of our long term posters and even mods are still going if the scheme continues.
Its got absolutely nothing to do with whether you can afford it or not its about principles. How many of you are supporting the scheme just by still going next season whatever?

Short answer, I'm not getting a pass next season and won't be joining the membership scheme.

Slightly longer answer, I'm against the scheme, but it's not the main reason for my lack of pass, it's just another to add to the list. I didn't get one this season for a variety of reasons, not all Allam, nor even City as some are football in general and none of those have altered.

It'd be easy for me to say that I would refuse to join the scheme as a point of principle, the honest answer is that if it was the only single factor, I don't know if I would sign or not. I can understand when people say they're renewing because they refuse to be driven out of their club, but by the same token, the scheme forces others out and I strongly believe it's wrong to charge kids and OAP's as they are. It ignores many of those that have earned their stripes, and will quite likely lead to another missing generation. It also ignores the social element of the matchday experience.

I think the impact of closing the upper west is still being underplayed in the protest. It just seems to be being accepted.

I've previously said that any scheme which inflicts higher prices on children, young people & OAPs enabling adults to pay less is fundamentally & morally wrong. It doesn't sit right with my values & principles & as such I'll have no part of it.

I won't be attending any games, home or in an away end, while this scheme is in force; the finances cannot be separated. Taking money from old age pensioners and bairns to subsidise adults is reprehensible; to be prepared to accept that subsidy from the club is highly questionable behaviour. The club are forcing some moral questions onto their support base and we have yet to see the final responses.

I'm unaffected personally, as I'm a corporate member and the new scheme doesn't apply to us. In fact, corporate members already all pay the same (no concessions) and pay a monthly membership fee, so we've effectively been on a scheme like this since the KC opened.

I'm a fan of the principal of a membership scheme that rewards loyalty, but the one currently proposed seems to do exactly the opposite. It's overpriced, unnecessarily complicated, fundamentally unfair and requires completely unnecessary seat moves.

Closing any part of the ground, rather than attempting to fill it, is beyond stupid.

If the HCST hd any intention of building bridges, maybe a simple 'no we won't stop ****ing protesting you massive ****s' would hve sufficed, without broadcasting their approach?

Some on here will know I didn't renew this year. There's absolutely no sign so far of the club sorting out any of the reasons I didn't renew, so I definitely won't be renewing or joining schemes until then. One of the key points for me was the repeated price hikes. This scheme is just as bad as that.
