I like QSF but I've overdosed on 'amazing' this season. Gino please choose someone I can understand easily.

His english however is much much better than my french although I lived there for 5 years.

More change, I really hope that IF there is a new manager, we don[t regret this one. QSF is of high standards....

I do believe that WD Sport is trying to make a name for itself. It has attracted staff away from the WO and with the launch of the paper copy is looking to make a splash headline to sell the newspaper. I have suspected for quite a long time that the WO has financial problems, but so have many local newspapers.

It seems hard to believe that WD Sport would come out with such bold statements unless it had insider information, but when you are trying to sell papers in this digital age it has to make a little go a long way. It was proved wrong a couple of months ago, memory fails me over what now, but there will be a market for rumours when you have a club that is so tight lipped.

Hang on, it has been the online Daily Mail that has been pushing the story of Flores to go. WD sport just reported the rumours from that point.

Is there not a system in place where local journalists sell stories to national newspapers? If this is the case it becomes difficult to know where the source actually is.

What would be the target of a new manager - surely the Pozzos wouldn't expect us to be like Leicester this season for example?

I do think Flores will pay the price for having favourites and being very stubborn in his ways...

The Pozzos won't be pleased the likes of Berghuis and even Oulare have hardly kicked a ball given the investment made.

Mind you a new guy is going to want his own players and have his own tactics etc.

They might want a manager who is more flexible in team selection and tactics whilst maybe playing a more entertaining brand of football - but as ever results would come first.

i'd take him in a heartbeat.
And as for WD Sport, it seems they wouldn't make such bold statements without insider approval, though with the statement from the club, i'm confused at the mixed messages. I think we can be certain that Flores is out the door in June, for all the reasons WD sport states. Makes perfect sense, and i must admit, with his lack of ability to adapt, assess opposition and field teams that make sense, along with seemingly managing to upset players who were brought in to make a difference this season and have hardly kicked a ball, i'm not sorry. Harsh? Maybe, but results back up the assessment imo.

We are still only 5 points down in the second half of the season compared to the first half against the same teams. If the fixtures against Villa, Sunderland and Norwich had been played by the end of February, rather than teams in the top six, we would not have appeared to have had such a bad second half of the season so far. Throw into the mix the cup, which probably distracted players, and the short term view appears to be just that.

I would take what WD Sport say with a grain of salt given their limited success rate in previous 'exclusives'. Remember, the rumours about QSF's departure were started by a Palace supporting Daily Mail journalist in an article that didn't even attempt to provide sources, published just before the semi-final. It is still quite feasible for us to finish 10th

Without Bassett we could have been one of the founder members of the Premier League
And still doing the double over Arsenal most seasons, (even the year Bassett got us relegated)

In a funny way because he seems such a genuine good fellow who seems honest he'd come and give it a go if offered!

But then would Pellegrini really want to be told who to buy and how to play...?

Also he might be a bit fed up of having to deal with the threat of being dumped at a moments notice...
