One of his teams was beaten 7-0 by Liverpool in the Cup. But then again he's failed at 6 different jobs Huddersfield. Palace(twice) Birmingham Wigan Sunderland. He's failed because he's won nothing.

Any side or manager can win a trophy if the manager manages their side properly. But it shows how poor a manager Bruce is when poor managers such as Steve McClown,Terry Venables,Harry Redknapp have won trophies and he hasn't.
To be fair, I think Steve Bruce is a good manager. He has done an excellent job at Sunderland and has brought in some good players. I expect a difficult test in our first game of the season.
But he hasn't won the Premiership with a World Class side like Sunderland so he must be crap according to KPR.
even funnier, considering it was a beachball that beat them why has this posted again. ignore and move on
I don't think he's a good manager,He's a typical English born manager...below average. The last good English born manager was Howard Kendall. Wilkinson won a title but he was as dull as ditch-water. The most successful English born manager is Bob Paisley. He's actually the most successful bar none as his ratio of trophies to years has not been surpassed. 13 major trophies in just 9 remarkable seasons. He also has a 66.66 title win rate(6 in 9) Fergusons is 48% 12 in 25. Bob Paisleys European Cup ratio is also better,at 33% at 3 in 9 seasons. Fergusons is 2 in 25 which is 8%. Bob Paisleys overall record of 13 in 9 seasons is a ratio of 1.4 trophies a season. Fergusons 22 in 25 is 0.9 trophies a season.
