The man is our worst player this season, he's been utterly **** and clearly wants out.

He seems to have lost about 5 yards of pace, never seems to track back, outright refuses to press or go into tackles, etc.

I can only assume he has incriminating stuff on Bruce, because there's surely no way he's getting in the team for any other reason. The fact he played 90 minutes last night was a ****ing disgrace.
Yet he still had a hand in the first goal and should have won a penalty.

So he didn't set up the best chance of the game by far to that point? He didn't win several headers over the Udders full back and cause them problems? And the world's slowest three man defence weren't the bigger problem?

Basically you've got 47 minutes and an exaggeration about falling over whilst ignoring valid points. Well done.

Elmo was **** at Huddersfield, that's what you seem determined to ignore, he certainly wasn't alone, but he was still ****.

Considering how much Ikeme ****ed up for that first goal, he's incredibly lucky to have any hand in it. He didn't win a penalty though, so that means **** all. Maybe if the prick didn't constantly dive he might be more likely to get penalties.

He was still ****ing abysmal, and has been for about a season and a half.

He was poor at right back.

There was signs, which you have clearly ignored, (also at Derby where he came on and was far better than virtually anyone) that he was getting better again.

This improvement was smashed to pieces by Bruce when he decided to sit Curtis back down at Huddersfield and play Elmo in a position he clearly can't play.

Personally, I don't think he's our best option at right back, right wing back, or on the right wing, certainly not on current form.

Which wasn't the point made.

He played well in a half an hour cameo at Derby? Even you would agree?

His WORSE position is right back, correct?

So less than a game after being our only bright spot in a terrible game, he's put in his worse position.

That is called poor management...

I was at Huddersfield, and he was ****ing awful, using his position as an excuse means **** all, he was still ****e regardless.

So he didn't set up the best chance of the half for either team after beating their full back all ends up? That didn't happen?

So one move means he had a good game? Christ almighty.

I guess, by your logic, he was good last night then, because he technically had a hand in the first goal (via a howler by the keeper).

Sorry I'm supposed to list each time he contributed?

I thought he was ok going forward in the first half, he was utterly lost second half at right back.

At Derby he hit 5 or 6 good crosses in 15 minutes which contributed to Derby wobbling somewhat before their third.

I don't even disagree that he has been the most disappointing player of the season but at times he's written off as **** even when A. Bruce plays him in a position he clearly can't play and B. He does some good things that the other wide players simply cannot do.

I blame Bruce for the majority of his demise.

Its utter ****ing rubbish to say he cant play RB. Played there many times in the PL. Any pro player can play most positions and give at least the minimum of effort. Elmo isnt doing that.
Nothing to do with what position he is playing, his effort commitment and attitude arent there.
Thats down to him not Steve Bruce, who will be well aware of it.
Part of the struggle Steve Bruce has had this season is managing the ego's of these underperforming, whinging players who are letting him, the club and us down.

Oh **** - should've read this thread first.
He is utterly appalling and another reason not to go
Piss taking ****

I've never ever seen Elmo look like a good defender. As he's.... Not a defender. He looks ok at right wing back if you ignore the lack of defensive guile.

It's naive rubbish to say players can play most positions. At a high level, Huddlestone up top, Aluko in central mid, Diomande at centre back (it's an endless list) would all get rinsed.

He's not a defender. Therefore he's not good at defending. He can dive in, he's not good positionally. He does the classic thing that midfielders do at the back which is get caught taking gambles. He's nowhere near strong enough.

Bruce playing him there is suicidal.

Of course he doesn't need to because he pays twenty grand a week to a back up in Ryan Taylor to do that... Oh... That worked well didn't it? So Elmo plays a position that he's terrible at because Bruce bought a 20k a week dud.

Slight aside...
Bruce has done a great job managing these egos eh?

As you only seem to have turned up this last week then I'll assume you never saw us play in the PL last two years. Where Elmo was a RWB or RB. A RWB has defensive duties, did you know? Kept Rosenior out of the squad during that time due to being good at both attacking and defending.

You know how much Taylor is on? Wow you are well connected. We have Odubajo as a RB so why bring Taylor into it.
The errors Elmo made this season, he didnt make last season. FACT. Must be down to his poor attitude that is plain to see.

What amazes me is why the hell Bruce insists on taking of moses to drop elmo to right back. It has been done numerous times this season, you are basically saying that elmo is a better right back and if that is Bruce's thinking then he should start him there.
He was ****e again last night and didn't respond too well to the east stand getting on his back.
The amount of times he didn't track their tank of a number 3 was unreal, yet Bruce didnt do anything about it.
