Yeah, everyone gets miffed....but booing and whingeing, doesn't improve anything does it? It's not as if the team and manager are unaware they're ****ing it up. BITD, it was the slow handclap and 'what a load of rubbish' but back then in comparison, it really was rubbish, not like now with a squad full of internationals. I reckon our owners who have allegedly sat back to let Steve Bruce manage , because they know nowt about football need to ask themselves if they need to manage the manager better? They have seemingly not helped him at all, presumably reasoning 'You spent all that money. Go on, make it work' when maybe they should have seen what is now unfolding and intervened, being the shrewd successful businessmen they are, and given Steve the benefit of their experience in business management. They might look back in the summer and think 'If only we'd supported him in the press and not let him take all the heat, he might have performed a bit better'.
Interestingly listening to the AN podcast now and they were also critical of Bruce changing the formation to 4-4-2 and leaving Davies on the bench, and that's from people who were there.
My best sources of info are on here when I've not seen the match just from my own experience of going to games then reading comments after. Will have to give AN podcast a go, cheers!
They made it clear the 4-4-2 was the issue, and the team was all over the park, and having Davies warmed up and then snubbed was a terrible call by Bruce.
We were utterly dreadful in the first half and far better after we'd switched to 4-4-2, nothing you post to the contrary will be anything other than bollocks.
You miss the bit where I wasn't expressing my opinion? You really do come across as far too aggressive sometimes.
I wasn't being aggressive, I was just pointing out that your attempts to rewrite history are utterly pointless.
It's alright if you succeed in rewriting history! For example Jimmy Glass missing a sitter & Carlisle getting relegated instead of Scarborough! I was bitter about them in those days, but feel a bit bad now!
